The cavas stretcher is pretty neat, but to do it yourself there needs to be a lot of overhang, otherwise you need two people to correctly pull the canvas tight. The staple remover works ok.

I needed to get rid of some paintings and this did just the job at getting a grip on the canvas. When using the staple remover, I found it best to come from the side and wiggle up.

I purchased some printed paintings on canvas & needed a canvas stretcher tool to mount the pictures on stretcher bars. Paintings done by hand and produced by the artist on canvas already stretched/mounted on stretcher bar frames, but these were preprinted on canvas and need to be mounted "after the fact". The tool helps grab the finished painting & allows stretching & holding the artwork to be fastened to the stretcher bar frame (stapled or tacked).
