About this item

  • Re-amping interface for multiple amps
  • Stereo/Dual direct box
  • Variable Input pad for mic or instrument inputs
  • Stereo Audio/Video interface to low level inputs
  • Dual 1/4-inch TRS and XLR balanced line level inputs

The Dual RDB is the ideal interface solution for any application where stereo or dual line level signals from recording interfaces, computers, mixers, iPods, consumer audio or video machines need to be connected to XLR microphone or ¼-inch instrument level inputs. The unit has two high quality isolation transformers that prevent ground loops when connecting various systems together. The Dual RDB accepts 1/4″ TRS and XLR line level inputs and outputs mic or instrument levels. The Dual RDB’s variable level controls allow volume control to be set at the source rather than in the studio, AV room, audio closet or installation rack. A 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response ensures the Dual RDB will function transparently with any high quality audio source

I'm using it for reamp and works wonderfully. Meet my expectations in terms of build and sound. Totally recommended for reamp use.

Using to step down hot signal from looper so that a guitar amp can be used as mixer monitor. Worked perfectly out of box, has 2 ins and outs, both 1/4 and XLR, and no 9v power needed...nice features for the price

Works well as a di. But trying to reamp a guitar signal from my daw into vox ac30cc i blew up a channel in my interface. sooo don’t know if that was me or if the box is just a glorified di box. in any case in works best as a di.

I have a bedroom studio in my home, but I take my recordings seriously. I want the best sound I can get on my limited budget. I have several guitar amps that I can choose from to record, but if I am smart, I will use this reamp and direct box to give me the option to change the sound later. Recording a dry guitar track along with the amp allows a lot of flexibility when it comes time to mix. If I discover that I used too much distortion or reverb, I can send the signal through this device back to the amp and adjust the FX, gain, etc. to get it right the second time. It saves so much time as opposed to trying to play the part and get the performance the exact same as the take I decided to use. I love ART equipment. I own several of their devices and they are a great value for the money.

This thing is essentially the ultimate DIreamp box. It's stereo, has both XLR and quarter inch ins AND outs, a level adjustment for each channel, and just to cap it all off they printed the block diagram on the bottom. This makes every other DI irrelevant.

This works as a:1-stereo DI box (impedance matching)2-audio splitter3-re-amping device4-level matcherIt's solid, sounds great and is eminently affordable. So if you're looking for any of these things for your studio or live gig, you should definitely consider the Dual RDB.

bought to allow monitor sends from a pro mixer to keyboard amp unbalanced intrument inputs. It works great for that, it brings down the gain a little more than I would want, but is totally the solution. No hum, no super twitchy volume knob reaction due to mismatched impedence.

....At least not for my interface. If i go straight from the interface into the amp, its way too hot, as expected. But if i use this Art reamp the signal is way too weak even with the Art's knob cranked. Now this is probably due to the fact that my interface has no output adjustment for the output that i need to use....i assume that an interface that has this control can be cranked up more to match the normal amp input.

does exactly what it should, sounds super clean and having 2 channels is nice. Some users have mentioned that the output levels are very low, but I believe the output knobs are really a trim knob, where "max" is the same level as the input level, or a very similar level. So you need to record your DI tracks at a healthy level.

It made a difference to a phaser I using plus it great for reamp recording a guitar

Was actually doing a weird isolating problem, a hardware send from a mixer heading into an fx preamp effects unit which required a reamp box. This box allows not only 1/4 and XLR isolation but also has 2 inputs and outputs. This box solved the problem right away.
