I wanted to upgrade the old PC I had built for my parents. Found an i7-9700 on sale so I figured I would drop it into this machine, along with the two 4gb DDR4 SODIMM sticks of RAM and I'd be good to go. Moved the SSD off the old PC directly over to this little box, no prep, and it booted right up.The listing wasn't clear on this, but this product does indeed come with an Intel AC 3168 wifi card with external antennas. There's also bluetooth built in on the motherboard.I didn't have to upgrade the BIOS version for Intel 9th gen support, as it was already on version 4.40, so the i7-9700 is working fine, even boosted up to 4.4ghz before throttling back down to 3.00.I would recommend installing the drivers for the audio and wifi before moving your boot drive over from your old build, as my audio and wifi was spotty until I installed fresh drivers. The motherboard is a H310M-STX.The size of this PC is surprising, it's about half the size of a Nintendo Gamecube, and it's still able to fit an Intel stock CPU heatsink with fan. This also means that the PSU is an external brick, which limits portability if you care about that sort of thing for a mini PC.I have two cons for this product. The first would be the lack of USB ports. It does have the option to expand USB ports by using additional components if you want to fork out the extra money. The second is the size of the external power brick supplied with the kit. It's about twice the size of your average laptop power brick.Overall, I'm really pleased with this barebones kit. It had everything I needed, just supply a CPU (with integrated graphics), RAM, and a drive with an OS on it and you're good to go. I haven't stess tested this PC with the components I installed, nor do I plan to. It was meant for basic productivity/web browsing and so far it has excelled at it. Note: didn't test the microsd slot on the motherboard, nor did I test the m.2 2280 slot either as I used a SATA3 SSD.

Picked this up to operate a laser engraver and to print packing labels. Put a 9th get i3 in it and 8gb of ram. So far it has worked like a champ. It can even run my CAD software which requires a bit higher of a spec to run well. I paired it up with a Samsung SSD and a cheap 1080 monitor. I also opted for the USB port upgrade cable that lets you put 2 extra ports in the side. with that in there it was kind of a pain to get the cables routed and installed, but not terrible. Install of everything was easy to do. It fired right up. I had my kids load Windows 10 on it while I was at work. They also loaded Fortnite on it as well and were able to play and were rather impressed on the performance give the integrated graphics and i3 processor. I wouldn't recommend using this for that sort of thing, but it was interesting to see what this little guy could do. Over all I am well please with it and will probably build another one for dedicated use as a shipping only computer as these are a solid deal for the money.

I am amazed by ease of use and the quality of the chassis. I have put in it a i7-8700 with Noctua nh-l9i and it awesome. The temperatures average around 50 degrees Celsius and the fan is as quiet as one found i high end laptops. If you want a very powerful and super small pc you should buy this.

I bought it for my 4 kids to use doing school work. I used the following:- ASRock Barebone System Components Other DESKMINI 310W -163.00- Intel Core i5-8400 Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.0 GHz LGA 1151 300 Series 65W – 199.00- HyperX Kingston Technology Impact 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL14 260-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory HX424S14IB/16 – 72.99- Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (MZ-V7E500BW) – 89.99- Operating System 10 Home | USB Flash Drive = 105.00- I also bought this fan which I thought would be nice and quiet. Turns out the 310W comes with an Intel fan so this fan was not used. Noctua NH-L9i, Premium Low-profile CPU Cooler for Intel LGA115x (Brown) – 39.95No network card, the graphics come from the CPU which works great and kids can still play Minecraft and Roblox. Just not some other 3D games. But overall this build is plenty fast. Total cost based on the above was 630.00.I knocked a staff off because some things are a little more flimsy than they should be, like the back grill of the case.I ran Performance Test (by passmark) and it indicates that this PC performed in the 96th percentile. My PC which I build two years ago and spent 2000.00 on, rated top 98th percentile. So good performance. We have had it for two months, and all is well.

My build is:i7-9700 / Crucial 64GB 2666Mhz RAM / Samsung 1TB 970 Pro NVMe SSDThe Asrock included Intel wifi was upgraded to the Intel WiFi 6.Added the optional 2 additional USB 2.0 ports as well. The intel CPU fan was upgraded to Noctua NH-L9i chromax.BlackIt's a home theater/web browser/CAD box.The only "downside" , the USB-C port is 3.1 gen 1, not gen 2. (5Gb/sec, not 10) and the NVMe is PCIe gen 3, not the newer gen 4.But I can't imagine a PCIe gen 4 NVMe could be noticeably faster than my gen 3 NVMe; this is crazy fast at 3.5 GB/s.

I had an 8th generation intel NUC with an i7 processor that just died and was beyond repair. I wanted a small pc that used a desktop pc processor and laptop RAM and this fit the bill perfectly. I was able source an 8th gen i7 for a desktop pc and use the RAM from the NUC and recreate the system at a very budget friendly cost.It may be a bit outdated but it can make for a great build on a budget. I'm very happy with it. I hope it lasts longer than the NUC.

It was nice to receive the item. Had ordered this item several times last year and it never came. This time it came and I'm happy with it. It works fine except for the RAM I ordered from Amazon. DOA. Seems a lot of parts having problems nowadays.Just to add after a few weeks of using. It is good and stable on an Intel i3-9100. No issue.

The case and motherboard are well made. Adding the CPU, RAM, M.2 NVMe 2280 storage, 3.5" SSD, 2230 Wi-Fi card, Wi-Fi antennae, and OS, by myself, created a system with the components I selected from various vendors.I recommend AsRock.
