Collet adapter works well but is not easy to remove from 1/8" bits after use. Really tight.

This was suggested for the DeWalt 611 trim router. It didn't work for me! The bottom of this unit is solid and will not compress. That must be a huge design flaw. The bit fell out several times. I finally tightened the collet of the router so hard, using all my strength, it finally kind-of worked, sort-of.Other brands make these reducers with only one slit running the entire length of the unit, top to bottom, and that allow for pressure to be applied anywhere. Again, the solid bottom area of this unit WILL NOT COMPRESS like it should. This product is flawed by design. Do not buy!

So the inside of my bike fork where the quill is inserted and down past the headset was rusty I needed this to hold a Dremel ¾ rod brass wire brush on an extension bar for drill bits. This collet reducer did exactly what I needed it to do, and while the cleaning an rust removal it wasn’t easy but it got done, now my fork on the inside is really clean, hopefully I will avoid rust in the future. I highly recommended this!

It lets me use 1/8 in. dremel tool bits in the router on the CNC machine. Works good so far.

It's working fine, but it seems I have to tight a little more so the bit dosent slip and then, after the job, it's kinda "stuck" in... not sure if the others are working better than this.Make sure you align the notch with the notch on the other collet.

This one worked great for me, however the one I got only had 2 slots, not 3. It held very well, in fact it was quite tight even putting it into the router, without even tightening. I have bought a couple others for $.99 from other online places, end up being metric and does not hold.
