It’s exactly what I wanted and expected. I especially like that the stylus/pencil is on a string since a similar item that we purchased did not have it attached to the board and the pencil is constantly getting lost.

Already had this in letters and was excited to see it in numbers. My son uses it to do "paperwork." The string holding the stylus is long enough to have free hand movements without tension. The wood is thick enough that it doesn't bend or have any fear of breaking. It's been dropped plenty of times and no wood splinters. Small enough to take for travel also.

My preschool students really liked these boards to practice 'writing'. The only thing I would've really liked is that both boards had a cord to keep the writing tool attached. Only one of them had a string, yet the other one didn't. I was always concerned that it would get lost or roll under a shelf in the classroom.

I like how smooth and compact this is. We’ve collected several of these types of aids over the years and they are not al made equally. I prefer the clean look without instructions on how to shape the symbols (plus I don’t always agree with them, arguably if you find a way that works to reliably make the shape I don’t care if you start your line at the top or bottom. )I like that it starts with Zero instead of One (I personally think this makes more sense for teaching what Zero is and what a placeholder is when you get to 10)The shape selection is good, but I feel like they could have gotten one more on there, so both sides had 10 things to trace. But the included shapes are good, if not comprehensive. That the stylus is attached well and nests is such a big deal. All of them should be like this. Why would you ever make one where the stylus isn’t attached?! This is for kids! Kids drop stuff. Kids lose stuff! Because it’s attached this is a great car toy, quiet toy, and it’s compact so it fits well in a purse or very small lap

Only slight complaint is length of sting attached to board— sometimes string is a challenge and considering cutting but would hate to lose! Nice smooth wood… wish the 4 and 9 were shaped differently though.

This is a very practical item if you have young kids. As soon as I handed it to my 4 year old grand son he took right to it. Just had to get him to understand to start at the top. It is a good overall size, fairly easy for a kid to hold. I really liked that they made good use of space by using both sides, one for numbers and one for shapes. Also good choice to tether the pointer/stylus to the board so they don't get separated. My daughter (a teacher) did mention that others she has seen that had deeper outlines, but I wonder if using both sides of the board did limit the depth. I think this board is going to help my grandsons prepare for school and learn how to make numbers. They will also learn about different shapes that will help them as they progress in school.A nice product that will help your kids.

My 3 year old played with this for about an hour when we first got it. She loves it! She loves playing with it with me and it is a perfect addition to our homeschool supplies. The only problem was the stylus was very pointy when we first got it so we had to cut off the tip of it. It didn't look like it was supposed to be that way so maybe they don't all come sharp like that.
