My pool man just told me I needed to replace the diaphragm in my Zodiac pool cleaner and said it was $75 for him to sell me one and he had one in his truck. I said No Thanks. I can get them for $5 each. He said BUT they are not name brand, quality like what I sell. I said, they are better than the name brand as proven by the fact that this diaphragm that came with the Zodiac is barely over a year old already needs replacement. I am not spending $75 a year to replace these little rubber pieces that are easily installed without any experience or skill. Even if my $5 diaphragm only lasts a year, that still saves me $70 a year! Furthermore, reading the reviews here, it seems these diaphragms are actually built better and will likely last 3+ years. I recommended my pool guy open his eyes to alternatives away from the OEM to offer his customers a better product, a choice and he can make a bigger profit by offering more than just OEM.In the end, I declined the work and the price. Put my $5 diaphragm in and I'll follow this review up when/if the day comes when its time to replace it and see how it actually compared to the OEM. I figure it should last at least a year and for $5 vs $75, it makes no sense to me why anyone would pay more unless it came with a 10 year free-replacement warranty.Save your money and buy this! It's better than the OEM no matter what your pool guy says. He's just trying to make a sale - that's his job.

This particular brand seems significantly better than the competition. It appears to be identical to numerous other OEM and aftermarket diaphragms that I have used over the years. Some of these require adjustment and readjustment of the suction side valves in order to get proper scoocher action of the diaphragm. This particular brand, ATI, required no suction valve adjustments; it began its proper action from the get and scoots around the pool bottom and sides with greater vigor than any other diaphragm I have used. In spite of looking and feeling just like the others, this particular brand seems to offer easy and superior "scoocher" action. I am going to stick to this brand over all others. It is worth it.

Pool company wanted $80 to tell me what was wrong with my vacuum plus cost of material and labor! My 12 yr old googled it and fixed it! Vacs running like a champ again! Great price and fit

My pool cleaner just sits there after I replaced the diaphragm. Never had this issue before. Should have purchased from Bunnings or a pool shop.

I can't recommend this product because it is a little shorter than what I needed for my generic cleaner. It was also shorter than the diaphragm I bought from the local pool shop even though the pool shop one was apparently suitable to the same Baracuda model.
