The price was much better than locally. I had noticed that the sweep wasn't working very well, but once I put this new tail on, it was great.

Our old hose had become very stiff and didnt swing from side to side anymore. This kept the pool sweep from roaming properly and it couldn’t clean up the bottom leaves. We changed out the hose and it roams nicely now. We have a pentair ledgend II and it fit perfectly. The water is pretty cold now in January and it still sweeps back and forth. Fantastic repair that anybody can do!

This is as close to an OEM product as I can tell. My only quibble, as others have mentioned, is the way the manufacturer kinked the hose about every 6†to make it fit in a compact package. They could have smoothly coiled it without kinks & still sealed it in a flat packing bag for the same volume.Since I ordered this in the cooler months, leaving it out in the sun for a day wouldn’t work to relax the kinks, so I put the tail hose in my oven on low (150) for about 15 minutes. This worked to get the hose back to a smooth, round shape without damaging anything.Now my pool sweep is back to happily swishing its tail as it goes about its routine.

The sweep hose comes complete with plastic clamp and fits perfect. The hose helps my pool sweep clean better. The price is very good.

I ordered this tail for our pressure side robotic pool cleaner two times. The first time was in June 2020. That tail lasted until August 2021, when I ordered its replacement. That tail is now TOAST! The new tail lasted LESS THAN TWO MONTHS! The problem seems to be in the rollers - I noticed early on that they very quickly wore down in size, and within a few weeks, most were flat on one side and no longer rolling, and the tail itself was starting to wear down.Short story: Avoid this (no longer high-quality) tail - I'll probably be buying a name-brand replacement over the winter.

Replaced a 5 year old hose that had became too rigid, this works great and is now swinging again. It's only been in use for a month, will have to wait to determine its longevity. Foam scrubber only lasted 2 weeks, but that's not why I bought it.
