Fit like the OEM cable, comes pre-greased, and with the grommet where the cable goes through the floorboard. Installation was pretty straight forward at the transfer case. Dealing with the dash portion of the install was also pretty easy. Loosen a couple of star bolts that hold the steering column up. Remove the steering wheel and upper/lower plastic shrouds, the plastic instrument panel surround, unscrew the instrument panel, run the cable the same way the original was ran and plug it in to the back of the instrument panel. Reinstall everything and done.

The vehicle i got this cable for is NOT an every day vehicle. Its 26 years old and there arent any dealers still in the USA. SSo Yes its a great buy!

Perfect fit, even came with floor grommet but did not come with o-ring that goes on the end into the sending unit.

Easy install, perfect length and fittings on both ends. Only difference is grommet style where it goes through the body is kind of a pain. If you want cheap working speedometer cable this is it, order it up!

The end of the cable that connects to the transfer case is a crude casting rather than machined. The outside diameter of the casting was less than the original part which resulted in a sloppy fit. Furthermore, the o-ring that is supposed to keep dirt and water out of the trasfer case was too small and recessed too deeply in the o-ring groove, which meant it was absolutely useless as a seal. Ultimately I made it work by building up the bottom of the o-ring groove withe some electrical tape, but not so sure it'll end up providing an effective seal. It really annoys me when I have to spend a bunch of time making a brand new part fit properly, but that seems to be happening more and more often as manufacturing quality continues to decline. If you can find an alternative to this brand, I suggest that you go that route. I would not buy this part again unless it was an absolute last resort.
