I purchased this for a different reason than normal. It can be used to clean the drains on your sunroof. This cable is just the right size and stiffness to do the job. It is flexible enough to get through the entire drain without kinking. I use it periodically to clean the drains to prevent any backups. The cable works perfectly for this.I did not use this as a cable for my speedometer, but it appears to be good quality and should suffice for that also.

Though identified by Amazon as compatible, this speedometer core does not fit a 1977 Honda Civic. This product was a waste of my time and money. I really like getting burned by online retailers.

Replaced my Harley after market speedometer cable with this. Cut to fit. slide new end on and crimp with included parts. Lube the cable and place new crimped end into speedometer while manufactured cable end goes into front wheel mechanism.

easy to instal from speedometer side just follow the instructions. so far it is working fine just need to replace the odometer since it is sticking badly.

I've replaced speedo cables in the past and this one looks much like the cables that I bought 30 years ago. The kit comes with a crimper that fastens the tip to the cable (after cutting to proper length) by hammering. I know from experience that this can go well, or sometimes not. Tricky. Anyway, I didn't buy this to replace a failed speedo cable. I bought it to use as a plumber's snake to clear out sunroof drain lines that had become plugged. Much safer than compressed air, which can blow the drain hoses off or apart. Worked great. Just a couple of minutes on each drain line and the sunroof is no longer leaking into the interior of my car. Try it!

Bought this speedo cable to make a remote idle cable longer on an Edelbrock Quicksilver ATV carb. The original was too short for the new application in a golf cart. Removed the ends from the old cable and epoxied them on a length of this new one. Works like a charm.
