It doesn't expand as far as it says on the listing. Not to mention the boot doesn't stay on the tool while using it. Would not recommend. It is GARBAGE. If i could leave zero stars i would 0/10

Make sure your CV joint I small, I have a 2010 Ram 1500 and it absolutely did not spread the boot enough to install it. Luckily my CV is easy to disassemble and I just bit the bullet and did that. I should have just done that in the first. I may never use this tool again and I feel like I wasted my money. I had 120psi on the wall and even tried warming the boot to no avail. Either buy new CV axles, or learn to disassemble, you need to clean the old grease out anyway before you apply new as per most CV boot installation instructions. I'm sure this tool is good for small cars and quick emergencies, do it right and better if you can without the use of this tool.

Got the job done, just barley opened up enough to force the boot to slide on

how do I get in contact with the seller? this tool is defective. it won't spread the boot. this boot i have is designed to work with this tool. it's definitely not the boot. I'm running my compressor at 110 PSI. the tool has a hissing noise at approximately 70 psi. is there something I'm missing here? am I supposed to adjust the inner valve or something? please contact me.

Well for starters it’s supposed to have a 5.5-6†spread from my understanding. Not 4â€. I wouldn’t have bought it if it was. I read the description and info on it, shows photos of the spread and it is obviously advertised falsely. It’s quite upsetting and frustrating as I had to wait for the tool and now I have to push my schedule back on this when I’m already in a time crunch.

Doesn't have enough force to open a boot meant to be used with a cone style tool...not even at 150psi
