Easy to use
- 1: Crimp the clamp.
- 2: Push down on the crimp to lock into place.
CV Joint Banding Tool with Cutter, The band clamps is easily installed with this tool, but the tool kit does not include band clamps.
Step 1
Wrap free-end clamps 3/8-inch or 1/4-inch roll band and clip around boot, thread band through clip tool nose and through winding mandrel slot.
Step 2
Tighten the band by turning the handle on the tool; use a socket or wrench on the handle to torque the band to OE specifications.
Step 3
Cut the band to the correct length by flipping the lever (at the front of the tool) forward.
Step 4
To complete clamping, fold down the remaining tail of the band into the clip and secure it by tapping down the ears of the clip.
Tool set, 4pcs small clamps and 4pcs large clamps is included.

Works as it should.Fast shipping,Didn't use the band style that folds over, I used the crimp style and it worked good.

I bought a set of pliers at the auto parts store. They broke when tightening the clamp, and the clamp later came off. Found this and purchased. The pliers are much better quality, and the strap tool, while not needed for this job, will get used eventually. Much better tool than what I found locally.

I used this on my rzr 1000 xp4 worked great pliers and clamp was perfect no more axle grease leaking.

The tools work well but the included clamp bands don’t work well. Easy to break them during installation. Use the tools but get better clamps.

The pliers and metal strap fixed my mess up on my truck after trying to put a leveling kit on. Needless to say this saved me from having to by a new cv axle for my truck. Tool and strap worked very well.

I have had not one, but two of these that came in with crimpers with messed up handles.I gave them a second chance but now I'm getting my money back and getting the OTC brand. More expensive, but at least I know what I'll be getting.
