This worked really well. I would suggest that you get some HVAC tape and tape the bottom of the insulated blanket onto the boards so when you unzipper it, you’re just not relying on the Staples.

Works well, got it for the freeze, which it wasn’t sooooo extra big but that helps getting stuff in and out of the attic

Super easy to install and has cut down on the air flow through the attic access

Works great! Wish it had more supports for the edges but does the job!

For years (and years) our attic door, which is located in the center of our hallway, would either be an area of cold or hot depending on the time of year. I tried putting a rim of foam around the door, the kind used to seal standard doorways, and that helped the draft a little, but never enough. I also lined the inside of the door with a bit of insulation, but since I only had about 1/2" of clearance between the stairs and the door itself I could never put enough insulation to really make a difference. Now, I have the solution! This insulation cover fit perfectly over my attic door opening and was super easy to install. The hardest part was stapling it in place and that's the fault of the stapler I used, which isn't a very good one. We've had a few colder than average nights lately and there is a huge, noticeable difference when I walk by or stand under the attic door. I can still feel a little temperature differential, but it's almost imperceptible on all but the coldest days. As the title says, I wish I'd have gotten this years ago!

Despite having just replaced our attic door with an 'upgraded' insulated door, we were still noticing a lot of air crossover.Immediately after installing this cover and closing the attic door, the draft was stopped completely. If you are dealing with energy loss at your attic door, this will correct the issue.Test-fit the cover first, you might need to stretch it -slightly- to make sure it reaches the corners properly. We tacked it in with a staple gun and secured it in place with some 1/2" strips of plywood to ensure a nice seal. 10/10, zero complaints. Stopped the draft entirely.

My pull down attic stairs don't seal quite right allowing air to leak around it. I've tried adjusting and sealing in different ways such as adding foam strips but never could get it right. This cover offers the perfect solution. It's very easy to install, and works perfectly to provide an air tight seal. Easy access to the attic by unzipping the smooth operating quality zipper. Solved my problem and very pleased.

I think this would be amazing if it came with support poles to hold up the corners. It fit my attic opening perfectly but doesn't stay perfectly up due to there not being any support. It was easy to zip and hopefully will keep the heat and air where it belongs.
