Installation Steps:
1. Remove the positive and negative terminals from the original battery, first remove the negative terminal, then the positive terminal.
2. Press the battery cable of the nose cable onto the battery clip, note that the battery cable must pass through the sheath before installation.
3. Install the positive pole first, then the negative pole to prevent short circuit.
4. Place the crimped battery clip on the battery pole, tighten the screw to fix the battery clip, the positive pole installation is complete.
5. Install the negative pole in the same way as the positive pole.

I had high hopes for these battery terminals, but unfortunately, they are too soft and deform easily when tightening the screws. Instead of securing the connection, they bend out of shape, making it impossible to properly clamp onto the battery posts.A battery terminal should provide a strong and stable connection, but these simply fail to do the job. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable solution. Disappointed with the quality.

Depending on the battery post, these may require a slighr modification. If you use the felt ring, you may need to take the red or black plastic pieces off because the upper part of the clamp ring won't engage with the upper part of the post. The plastic pieces are not an integral part of the clamp assembly. If left on, some battery posts might not allow for a solid grip of the post. NOTE: these split grip clamps work fine, but if they begin to corrode, will fail and break. The solid metal binding clamps can have more force exerted. Always use a grease on the exterior of clamps to diminish damage from corrosion.

My 2012 Toyota Highlander was dead the other morning. Just as I was rushing to take my nervous 5th grader to an important middle school open house. The battery was not only dead, but had experienced a serious failure. Corrosion had damaged the positive terminal beyond repair as well.I was able to get the battery I wanted at the local auto parts store, but the choice of terminals was poor. Nothing remotely resembled what the manufacturer had used. I made it work for a day, but ordered these from Amazon. They much more closely match that Toyota had from the factory, fit perfectly, and were easy to install. They even include the little gaskets as well. Thanks to quick delivery, I was back in action after a short delay. The son is still nervous about middle school, though.

I liked the price and it is close to the factory battery clamp. I only needed the negative terminal for my 05 Ford Escape. The tightening bolt was a little difficult to access. I got it tight and it worked perfectly. It comes with the felt bushing which was also nice.

Item is made of thin metal and plastic. Does what it says. However I had to cannibalize the second one to make a clamp with the first o e as the gauge wire on the car was too thick for the item. It's holding up but I have bought a more robust spare and keep it in the car just in case!
