It's perfect for my use as a mini patch panel, to/from an alarm system (ancient - it still uses phone lines).The jacks are for line-in/line-out.One customer complained that they expected both jacks to share the same line. There are other products that are just that. However if you order this item by accident, you can unscrew one set of connectors (spade connectors) and reconnect them to the other jack. Just be mindful of the wire colors.

The description includes "110 IDC jacks" which is not accurate for this product. These duplex jacks have screw terminals (4 independent terminals for each modular jack, 8 total). Single center screw hole (screw included) for mounting [not very secure], or use included double-side foam tape. "Made in China" and looks like it too. Packaging reads "RCA" "TP2662WHN" [...]" "Lifetime Warranty - Audiovox Electronics Corp".
