I took a chance based on another vw reviewer and it worked just fine . My advice is go slow and use a lot of cutting oil . Do not force the tool light pressure only . Once done the king pins had zero play .

I finally received my reamer I read two gear blanks that I've been in a rush to get done for a customer they were both ruined they had to be 5 eights to fit on a 5 eights plus 0.002 mandrilafter they completely fell off the mandrel I measured the reamer and it measured 0.6380across a couple of the flutes. Who has ever heard of a precision tool Being off that much/who has heard of a precision tool being off at all? I am so sick of these companies and their terrible accuracy I would be willing to pay three times more just to have a little bit of quality I guess I'm not gonna be shopping on Amazon anymore

So not the most impressive reamer for sure. It is to size and appears as though it could have been higher performance when it was 1st machined. The steel seems good the angles look right. However all 6 pictures I provided are for all 6 cutting surfaces and EVERY single one is already damaged when taken out of its protective wrap. To be clear that means it was already damaged when it went into the wrap. The damage is sleight and it will still cut reasonably well and most definitely better and truer than a twist drill... but really? There are 2 reasons folks use reamers and they are to make a hole a uniform size for its length (this will do that well) and to make that hole very very smooth and perfect (that's where this one's performance will be a tad lacking due to cutting edge damage. The damage hurts performance the performance of the tool. It can not perform as well.End result, I will use this where size is more important than finish and be pretty happy because it will save wear on my much higher end reamers.

good quality HSS reamer. Flutes are very sharp and is true .625". This is as good of quality as any other HSS reamer I have used in the past.

Sometimes it is worth it, buying the cheaper tool because you are only going to use it once. This in not one of those tools.Don't do it, keep looking, it isn't worth trying to save money for this !!
