Easy, Easy, and very easy install. I have a 2017 Nissan Frontier and it fit perfectly. The Frontier has factory weatherstrip located underneath the front of your hood. There are plastic grommets that hold the weather strip on. The holes the grommets go into are factory drilled and threaded. You simply hold up the deflector and observe which four grommets you remove. I removed them with my finger. You then slide the deflector between the weatherstrip and hood. Use the supplied screws and plastic washers.and insert through the existing weatherstrip holes and screw them into the hood holes that are already there. Tighten the screws and close the hood. They give you four rubber small bumpers that stick on behind the screen in case the automatic car wash pushes on the screen too hard and prevents scratching your hood. Tools required: Philips screwdriver and possibly a flashlight if you as old as me. Very functional, but also very attractive. Tip: save the small bag the screws and washers came in. I put the grommets in the bag and put them in the glovebox. You never know when you may need them somewhere else.

The other reviews on here were accurate and helped make the install go quick. Installed on a 2019 frontier in 10 or 15 minutes by myself. I'm somewhat handy so here are a couple tips if you don't do this type of work.Open the hood and lay something like a painters cloth over the engine so you don't lose parts. Use a flat head screwdriver and apply even pressure to remove the factory plugs with your thumb on the top of the plug. They will pop out and your thumb keeps them from flying. When installing the deflector I started at one side, not the middle. There is a little bowing of the deflector on purpose to give it a lot of strength. Just start the first screw but don't tighten it down. Then work your way in order to the remaining screws but don't tighten them down. Once all 4 screws are started, check the install and make sure everything appears even. Then tighten the screws down a bit at a time until they are all snug. Don't tighten them down super tight or you'll strip the holes, just get them snug. I found the holes alligned really well.Once the install was complete it's very solid and hardly moves. I liked other reviews that said put the rubber bump on the deflector and not on the paint of the truck, but I think it's so solid I'm not going to bother.I bought this more to protect from rock chips than bugs, I've had so many vehicles that get chipped on the nose of the hood. Looks good I would buy it again.

I am only removing a star at the moment because the instructional video does not go over the installation on a Nissan Frontier like this specific version of the product supports, other than that it was an easy install and seems to fit very well and secure.

On our previous vehicle, I ordered a deflector. That one was held on by double-sided tape. I was pleasantly surprised that this one is held on by self-tapping machine screws. The difference is that the Frontier has plastic anchors that hold on a rubber seal. It was not difficult to remove the four anchors needed. It also was not difficult to line the first screw up and fasten it. After the first one, it was even easier for the remaining ones except when I dropped one of the screws and it fell into part of the metal shield under the front end. It was not easy to locate it and get it out. Since there are no extras included, I would suggest putting something down to catch any dropped parts. Use my experience to avoid having to spend time hunting dropped parts. The other thing is the "Bump On" silicone buttons that are included. They are really next to useless. They do not seem to serve any purpose as they are too small to reach the deflector when it is mounted. There is a gap of about an inch between the top of the bump and the deflector. The previous deflector had bumpers that were large enough to bridge the gap. However, since it does not look like the deflector is in danger of vibrating or falling off, the small bumpers may not be a problem so I did not downgrade the stars.

Perfect for saving my hood from rock chips. Price couldn't be beaten, install was a breeze. I much prefer this style that uses actual screw mounts compared to the low profile versions that are stick-on. I've lost two of those while meeting semi's on the highway.

The bug deflector is made of good quality, OEM Specs I would say is about the next best thing
