I went through a couple of the label dispensers that have the sensor eye to control labeled dispensing. Model 1150D, by several different brands, but they're all the same unit. I could never get them to work properly, consistently, and when they would, you would end up tearing the paper backing on the labels because the slack taker upper would start winding at an angle. Non-stop problems. I returned them, and bought this model and have had no troubles whatsoever. The pressure switch is genius, and infinitely more reliable than the optical sensor. If and when this one goes down, I will definitely purchase it again.

This label dispenser works really well and for the price point you can’t beat it. We bought different kinds, name brands and models from other sellers. This one is by far the best. Will definitely buy more of these if we need to.

Using it here in Canada, the dispenser didn't have a three prong plug, so it ended up shocking me and frying itself due to static build-up discharge from the friction of the labels. Returned the first machine because I thought it must have been a defect before I figured out the cause, but the second time the same thing happened (static shock to no longer working) so I figured out the reason. Loved the way it dispnesed though so its too bad...
