Arrived on time and packaged nicely. Item as described and worked for timing my cars A/C compressor to turn on and off for better performance since my temperature control module failed.

Great timer! Works well for a hot water recirculation system in a camper. I wired a doorbell button (momentary switch) to activate the timer to circulate hot water through the plumbing. I have the timer wired to shut off and remove power from itself after running for a set number of seconds. This prevents unnecessary draw on the RV batteries when the timer is not in use.Operation: 1. Momentary switch energizes timer circuit and included board-mounted relay, starts countdown, and retains power to its own circuit after momentary switch is released. 2. The timer circuit counts down to zero, cuts power to the relay and therefore to its own circuit stopping all power draw from the timer. Cycle repeats when timer is started with the momentary switch.Timer wiring legend (see photo):12V+ ---Purple = 12vdc positive to power timer---tied to power supply +12vdc12V- ---Green = 12vdc negative to power timer---jumper to yellowS1 ---Orange = 12vdc negative to supply side of relay---tied to power supply -12vdc (chassis ground)S2 ---Yellow = 12vdc negative to load side of relay---jumper to greenMomentary Switch (doorbell button):Pole 1: Orange---(S1)Pole 2: Green and Yellow (12v- and S2) tied togetherNotes:Timer has non-volatile memory and retains settings after power loss. When activated, the relay on the timer circuit will pass thru whatever is attached on terminal S1 to terminal S2.I chose to use chassis ground (12V-) to activate the timer and water recirculation system. When timer counts down to 0, the relay is released and power to timer circuit is turned off (loss of ground).I only tested the countdown program that was needed for my recirc system. The terminal block is flimsy, but the timer was nine bucks, case included, and it works.I've attached photos of the circuit board product as of 2-26-2021 and a photo of my wires. Some assembly required. My unit came with the membrane front and the circuit board not fully snapped into the case. That's actually a good thing. They must know that my first step was to take it apart and see what's inside. :)The unit is easily assembled (snapped into place) once inspected. :)Instruction sheet was included. For a video on how the timer works, search for this: 4TTvfSYy204

Yes this timer does Cycle on and off in many ways. You have a basic repeatable timer system , or just a switch that turns thing on or off once until the next time you energize it with power.P1- 0 setting through P1-5 which means you get 6 total setting with variable on and off non repeating or repeating cycles. (P1-4 and P1-5)"P" means program mode: 1,2or3 is for the time mode to be used,it is the timer is seconds or minutes or hoursProgram 1, Is for seconds/ P1Program 2 is for minutes / P2Program 3 is for hours / P3So, you can program a device to to be on or off, or you can program a device to be Off and onthe cycling of the on - off or off -on can be se t in various approaches depending upon your needs for the device you are applying it to. If you want something to delay turning off or on you can. and then the device will stay in the on or off mode, without cycling, for that mode. You can also cycle the timer to turn things off or on in varying cycles over and over again.this is done with P1-4 and P1-5 settings, being the continuous off -on or on -off cycling modes, just place So,... The P for program cycle in p1 p2 or p3 is for 1 is for seconds, 2 is for minute, or 3 is for hours.then the 0-5 modes determine the variable cycling options.(it seems confusing but once you get it its not)As far the wiring there are several ways to connect the positive and negative to be switched on and of. Basically this is a robotic on off switch

NOW That that's out of the way, One thing is, There is no INSTRUCTIONS! What you see on the image in the image bar doesn't explain that you have to jump the positive into the 3rd slot. Look up a YOUTUBE video! It took me awhile to figure this out without some instruction!

Our fishtank is smallish with a strong filter pump so everytime we fed our fish some food would get sucked into the filter before it was eaten. Turning off the filter during feeding worked great but we'd sometimes forget to turn it back on. We used this to setup a temporary off switch which would turn the filter off during feeding (button press) and then automatically turn it back on after 2 minutes. Please be aware that all this unit does is open and close a contact. You must supply power to the unit and also wire power in series with the load. This unit does not apply voltage to the load circuit when closed. It just closes the circuit allowing current to flow.

Seem to work for what I'm planning to do with it, but it just feel soo cheap. The face plate is very cheap, the structure feels very cheap, but what did I expect since it's only $10

Bought this in an effort of controlling a solar panel system on my RV. The batts do not need to be charged daily if they are not in use (even though the controller should take care of it). While in storage, I have the batts refreshed for a few hours only once a week and ever since I installed this, I extended the battery life. For what I needed, this was a great product with lots of programming options.

The first unit ran fine for two weeks then failed. The replacement unit only lasted a day. Unfortunately, the circuitry used is not very robust and any voltage fluctuations will likely destroy the unit. I'm using a different brand of timer relay now and so far, so good. This unit would be a great value if it lasted. Your mileage may vary.
