Step1
Remove the main oil pressure plug on the automatic transmission housing, connect adapter to measuring probe.
Step2
Reset the pressure value to zero before testing.
Step3
Connect the measuring probe to the transmission.
Step4
Start the engine and perform gear shifting, pressure gauge displays measurements.

As a professional automotive technician who has used analog pressure gauges for years, I'm on the fence with this. I feel using it is way more time consuming than the good old fashion tool I'm used too. That being said, the tool does work and it is pretty cool. Like most AUTOOL equipment I own, it is very good quality.The transmission pressure tester comes housed in a nice foam lined plastic case that keeps all of the components organized. The tool even includes 4 AA batteries. The digital readout is clean and backlit, has memory functions and different pressure measurements. The tool is corded with the transducer attached to the cord which screws onto the adapters. I tested it a couple times and compared it to my analog tool and it was fairly accurate.The quality of the tool is very good and it works well. I still think I prefer my old tool but that's me. I give this 5 stars for quality and value.

This does not provide live instant data. This item is not a good fit if your looking for live data like diagnostic of transmission line pressure that requires instant change. The time it takes to report the pressure is way to long. Setting up TV cable or governors at different speeds will leave you misinformed. I am returning this product because of its lack of performance . Perhaps I got a bad one, but nothing replaces a good old mechanical gauge.

This cage works really well just plug it in and it provides all the data you need to monitor the transmission. It’s very easy to use and the instructions are well written anyone in this field should be able to figure out how to use this.
