Read the reviews before ordering and some said the color coding was inaccurate. I was please to find that the color coding exactly matched my camper. I think the color coding issue pertains to a 4 way flat wiring harness which uses a different coding than what a 7 way uses. I Installed the unit yesterday and was very easy to do. The product does not come with the screws to mount it so you will need to source 2 screws. I used 1" self tapping. The provided crimp connectors worked well with no issues and the box has ample room to leave extra wire tucked nicely out of the way. The 8 foot cord is plenty long and made well. The only small con that I can point out is that there is no gasket around the cover to create a "waterproof" seal. the box is water resistant and I don't believe it will be an issue but wanted to make note of it so anyone looking at this product is aware. I would recommend this to anyone needing to add/upgrade/replace there junction box. easily 5 stars from me.

Won't know about water resistance until I open the box to inspect after some use ion the rain, but it looks OK. If it's not good that way, I can make a cover to shed water. Wire seems good, properly sized for the current requirements of each function, color coding is perfect, connections are good and the plug attaches to the truck outlet very smoothly (oh, and all of my trailer lights work as intended - finally).

This plug cord is great! It was super easy to install and functions perfectly! The previous cord on my pop up tent trailer worked intermittently and it was frustrating. Also, it was just a little short to attach to my truck when the trailer was fully open. This new cord's length allows me to attach when trailer is open without any issue. The connection box is easily labeled by color so that made it simple. I also mounted it upside down and not sideways. This allows it to be more waterproof from rain since the seams are now positioned out rather than up. This length also gave me the ability to make all the wires really clean and organized underneath. That is important to prolong their life within the varying weather elements. I highly recommend this cord and junction box if your need to clean up any wire mess, to help against weather, and to get a good connection to your vehicle at a length that is necessary in all applications.

The four pin connection is pretty tight when you try to pull it apart. I only bought this to convert one four pin connector to the seven pin on my vehicle so I don't plan on pulling this apart. The seven pin round end worked properly and locks in place with the plug cover on the car.If you need to convert a seven pin round to a four pin flat and not have to continually pull it apart, this one works

First use was a little difficult since the plugs are sized with little extra space. Used it for adapter for UHaul trailer which only used 4 prong system
