A little tricky to put together but okay. Have to watch the pins that allow the racks to pivot. They seem to like to work their way out. Might need to add some type of glue to hold them in.

The rods that hold the rubber bracket just fall off, it doesnt fit into the rack probably made for decoration and not actually to carry a kayak. I wouldnt trust this junk to hold anything. Dont buy it

Well it does it’s job. The construction is questionable. I doubt it will last very long. The u-bolts are very low grade. The plastic coated nuts to secure the u-bolts are very cheap plastic. I used the rail mount option but purchased metal wing nuts because I just didn’t trust the plastic nuts to hold the mounts. The entire construction with the exception of the base plate is very cheap plastic. I would not leave it on in the elements with such cheap plastic. Sun would bake and crack it very easy. Installation was very easy other than purchasing better nuts.

These worked great on my older 1-1/4†Square Thule bars, held the kayak perfectly, I didn’t use the included tie down straps, just used my longer straps went around the bars on each side.

I like those saddles very much, but I almost lost a couple of small rods from the hinges.I have to see how to fix this.

Using on my 2 vibe sea ghost kayaks. Mounted on 2x4’s to my trailer and can be used on my Thule bars if needed.

The straps are crap and broke during a cross country trip. I looked up to see the nose of my kayak raised to a 45° angle. I had to stop on the highway in the middle of nowhere Idaho and move the rear strap to the front, which lasted another mile. In the end, i had to buy new straps with ratchets built-in and discovered that the kayak caused the rear hatch of my SUV is bent from the rear of the kayak being pressed into it when the front raised up. It is extremely fortunate that this didn't fly of my rook rack and hit a vehicle. Now, I can only imagine what the repair for my vehicle is going to cost, which this company should pay for since their equipment failed. The rack itself is great, and I love it, but the company cutting costs to provide inferior straps is a significant risk and hazard for driving. I cannot explain how ticked off I was when this occurred, but am incredibly relieved nobody was hurt and no other vehicles were damaged.
