Once you get this together, the wire shelves are quite sturdy. The instructions are for a couple of ways to put it together and the parts are labeled differently on the instructions and on the bags they are packaged in, which is very confusing. The connectors aren't too difficult to snap into place, but because of that, they also come off fairly easy. I ended up using different connectors which are much sturdier. The little wooden hammer provided came apart the first time I used it, very cheaply made.

Bought one of these for my son to display his things that were just pilling up on top of his dresser that he doesn't want his little brother to mess with. The cubes are designed to be made individually and then stacked on top of each other and zip tied together. Which I did not realize before purchasing, that's my bad. Thankfully I've put together cube storage units before, and had left over peices from those (The 2 white circle connector peices on the back in photo), to be able to put it together as one unit and no zip ties. I also used the "back pannels" as the base for the shelves, my son has some lego items that would of fallen between the wire ones. Other than those two modifications, this worked perfectly for what I needed at a great price.

Truthfully, I got these storage cubes before I knew what I planned to do with them—I just knew I could use some help in the organization department. I wound up splitting the set up into 2 separate stacks of 3 cubes, which were able to squeeze into a couple of tight nooks in my house to house extra cleaning supplies. They aren't especially sturdy on their own (especially if you don't arrange them 2- or 3-wide), so don't plan to load them up with a lot of weight. In my case, they hold things like paper towels, cleaning agents, etc. really well.

Okay, first of all, the instructions are pretty confusing. They do, however, label the items so that you have one storage box with one bag of parts for it. You have to mess around with the clips to figure out which way they go. And once you actually figured out and get this thing put together, you are asked to stack them and zip, tie them together. Doesn't sound overly stable to me!!The clips were a little bit cheesy, also. I won't be putting anything heavy in here.In fact, I worked on it for about an hour and decided that four cubes would be enough for today!! What a pain in the butt! I think I may actually use couple in my RV for extra shelves on the walls. I'll secure them to the wall a heck of a lot better than just zip tying them together. This is a cheap unit (or units) without sturdiness and i have big doubts about longevity. That's if I actually put the other four cubes together!! Not looking too promising right now.

This set requires complete assembly and comes with a detailed picture guide how to configure each box. The insert shelves are plastic sheets similar to soft plastic notebook covers (holds a shape, but not much weight). I thought this would be a lot more sturdy and it just is not. Even with the clips and zip ties included, these wire sides are very difficult to assemble so that they stay put--you have to wrap a bunch of zip ties in different directions around the wires so that the metal doesn't slip (no matter how tight the ties are). I wasn't able to put them together except as individual boxes. But I really need storage so I did find a way to use as standing crates which works as a temporary solution as long as I don't try to move them or pick them up since they can't support weight.

I was turning an extra room into a craft room, and these were the perfect shelves for my project! The wire shelving may not work for small items that could slip through the cracks, and it is also not strong enough to be used as a bookshelf or for other heavy items. However, they are great in my craft closet, and I could see it being good in an office or clothes closet or something like that as an organizing tool. The biggest draw of these shelves are that they can be configured in so may different ways. I ordered the 8-pack, so I could have even made two separate shelving units. I also like the look of it. It's cute and doesn't look cheap. It is a little pricey, $55 at the time I received my item. I think a $40-$45 price range would be more appropriate for these shelves. Overall, I am very satisfied with my order.Pros:- The shelves are lightweight and easy to move around- You can configure the cubes in any number of different ways to accommodate your needs or your personal preference, especially with the larger 8-pack- Cute look, not cheap looking at allCons:- It was a little rough putting them together. Once I got the hang of it, though, I was faster with each cube. Just follow the pictures carefully and exactly and you won't have to take apart the first couple because you did it wrong lol- Not meant for heavy items. Also, not stable enough for children's rooms, either.Overall impression: While I LOVE these shelves, and they were perfect for my project, their use is limited by their lack of strength. Be sure they fit your needs before buying and you'll be happy with the end result.
