I ran out of gas and my tank has expired and I do not feel like spending $200 to get going again so I went with a flux setup for a few minor steel repairs. It had more splatter than the MIG setup I’m used to but the welds were welds and everything held fine. Some grinding and wire wheel cleaned it up well enough.

Sealed roll of flux-core welding wire. The wire is shrink-wrapped and also has a corrosion inhibiting paper wrapped around it. Fits any standard Mig welder and can be used with or without a shielding gas.

I usually order bigger spools, but this is a nice compact spool that I can use when I run out of a big spool and I'm waiting for a new order. It well it's fine same amount of spatter as my other flux core wire. Seems like good quality, and I have no complaints.

Great easy welding wire, goes down smoothly with little splatter, I like using these smaller 2lb spools vs having a large 10lb spool because at the rate I use them I might have a bigger spool for many years and they sometimes develop a corroded surface that does not run smoothly through my machine.

First time mig welder and I am really disappointed in flux core wire.Splatters everywhere and makes a mess and makes a weld that doesn’t look very good.Giving 3 stars because it does what it is supposed to do but is not pretty by any means.
