Great gate! I use it as a barrier to prevent my 2 puppies from getting into certain rooms. I bought 2 of the gates. The only problem I found while installing the gate is that getting the cups provided to line up with the gate itself. I kept dropping the cups. Otherwise it was easy to install. I like that it automatically closes. Very durable. Easy to adjust to your opening. I bought the white gate to go along with my door casing but other colors are available. Made of metal so it should last a while. Very sturdy. My puppies can’t knock it down like some of the other gates I have. Highly recommended!

I loved that it looked like wood, so visually it’s much more appealing. It arrived undamaged to Hawaii which is a feat in itself - so yippee for that! You’ll want to read the instruction cards that are zip tied to the gate - one says NOT to cut until you install and that the gate will look BENT until it’s installed. We made this initial mistake - cut the zip ties - and my husband was about to “bend it back†since he thought the gate must have bent during shipping. Lucky I read the card (men and their aversion to instructions - haha) which tells you why it looks bent. The zip tie that shouldn’t be cut until installation simply prevents the door from swinging while installing - so it wasn’t a major problem, just held it for him until it was installed. As you install the gate, the gate door will align as you increase the tension screws which holds it in place. It does provide an option to screw it into the wall if you want, it also has incremental gate pieces to include if your space is wider, or you incrementally remove pieces if your space is narrower. One thing I over looked is that there will always be a bottom bar flush with the floor across the entire width of the gate I was afraid someone might trip but because you have to stop and open the gate, people seem to see the bottom bar, and it’s not very high so it’s not been an issue - but be aware of that. As for the swing of the gate - it’s awesome because it can easily swing 90 degrees in either direction, the swing is smooth and the magnetic catch/lock works smoothly as well. I also like the latch to open the gate which fits your hand easily - you use your thumb and fingers - the motion is like you’re grabbing something. I haven’t noticed a way to lock the gate (ironically my aversion to instructions - haha), not sure since I threw away the instructions. It serves our needs as it is. Overall we all like the piece, it arrived undamaged, was easy to install, is sturdy, functions smoothly and it looks a lot nicer than many of the other gates. Aloha!

I have purchased too many baby gates in my lifetime but this is by far the best. I got this in hopes for the bottom of my staircase where I needed something for the wall to a banister that is uneven. This gate worked and it’s so secure! It was easy to install and it’s easy to use one handed with a door that swings both ways. I love this gate so much I purchased another one for a different area in my house and love it there also. Definitely recommend for safety, durability and ease of installation.

This product was definitely overdue for my home bc my toddler gets into everything! I love the secured handle lock , but the directions were awful. I'm not handy and believe in using the instructions, however the company could've done a little better. There's a image that shows the long screw x4 and where to put them but I they can falling out. They don't screw in and the grooves on the rubber cap didn't need the 3M sticker , so i was able to loosen/tighten the screw while my husband held the gate stable. The other lesson was learning that the extensions were zip tied with the gate and keeping the handle tied til the gate was secure was the best! No holes in my wall, no tools, and no adhesive! I love that its a pressure mount and there's ease to either leave the gate open when the kid isn't around or narrow enough that it swings shut by itself. Great buy!

I recently purchased this Baby Gate, and I’m extremely impressed! It was easy to install, with clear instructions and all the hardware needed included. The gate feels sturdy and secure, which is a must when it comes to safety. It also has a convenient one-handed operation, making it simple to open and close even when I’m holding my baby. The first problem I ran into was that my installation spot is narrower at the bottom than the top (due to the skirting board). It was just too small for two extensions, so I had to use all three. That mean that the top screw pieces were at full extension. It still felt relatively secure, but for a ful installation I probably would have used wood blocks so there was more engagement with the screw thread and the gate itself.But then problem #2, once I had the gate installed and removed the strap (they explicitly tell you not to remove the strap before the gate is installed, as the installation pressure is needed to keep the top section engaged) - it turned out that the bottom latch was broken! The top one worked fine, but the bottom one (which has a separate button) wouldn't budge. I made sure that it wasn't something I was doing wrong, but there was absolutely no movement in the bottom part, leading me to the assumption that the connection between button and latch was broken.So, either very fragile, or very poor quality control (or both). Returning and trying another brand...

I bought this gate to stop my cunning dog from breaking into the kitchen. So far, so good. It's relatively easy to assemble, sturdy and tall enough for a medium sized dog not to jump over it.
