This salt container appealed to me because of its magnetic swivel lid and built in spoon. When I received it, it was a bit bigger than I was imagining. Even with its somewhat thick sides, it can hold quite a bit. The magnet helps the lid stay in place and closed. I like that the lid is attached, so it won’t get lost and you don’t have to find a clean place to set it down. The spoon is really cute. It’s a good size for salt (or sugar or spices). The cutout for it isn’t perfect in the lid. The spoon sits in it and doesn’t slide out, which is good. You have to lift the spoon up and out of the lid. If the container is tilted upside down, the spoon will fall out. I was hoping it would sort of snap in place or fit a bit more securely. It is still really cool that the lid has a spoon. You don’t have to go searching for one when you need it.The bamboo will, I’m sure, look different on each salt container ordered. Mine unfortunately has a dark mark running across the top, which doesn’t look very nice. The wood has a little bit of a smell to it. I can’t tell if it’s the natural wood scent or some kind of finish. All of the surfaces are pretty smooth. I think the dog that is wood burned on is cute, but I’m not a fan of the branding. I wish the bottom had “feet†of some sort so that it could keep the wood off the counter in case it gets dirty, and also to help it grip better. The container is not airtight. I can see a small gap under the lid.I think this is a nice salt container, but I’m sure there are better ones on the market. It’s not bad for the price. If you need one that doesn’t have to be air tight, that’s a good size, has a spoon built in, and a magnetic swivel lid, and you don’t care about the branding, this one should do nicely. I’m giving a generous 4 stars.

After using a bunch of salt for a non cooking reason, it was getting inefficient using it in normal salt containers. Either grinding it out, shaking it out, pouring it out, or even spooning it out. This fits my needs where there is already a spoon and the opening can be easily opened and closed, this made it extremely efficient for me to just spoon out an amount I need then put it back instantly. The spoon goes securely into the lid so it takes a little prying out. The magnetic lid works well in opening and closing easily. The container holds salt without spillage or leaks. However, be aware it is not an air tight container, so this may effect salt longevity, but this is not a huge concern for me.

This VRUIFA Bamboo Salt Container has a lot of great features, but it’s not without its drawbacks. The magnetic swivel lid is nice, keeping the lid securely closed and attached so you don’t lose it. The built-in spoon is also handy, although it doesn’t fit perfectly in the lid’s groove, which makes it a bit tricky to remove without tilting the whole container. The container is generously sized, but it’s not airtight, so I’m not sure if I’d trust it to keep moisture out of salt. I also wasn’t a fan of the prominent Vruifa logo on the front—would’ve preferred it on the bottom or out of sight. The bamboo also has a strong polyurethane smell when it arrives, but I’m hoping that fades over time after airing it out a bit. The container’s finish is mostly smooth, but unfortunately, the container I received has a crack in the wood on the lid, which is a little disappointing, so we will probably end up trying to fix it before we use it more. This would be a great salt container if the quality control was there. It's very functional and handy to use.

At first glance, the small jar looks good and I liked that the spoon tucks into its lid snugly. The jar swings open close and stays closed with a simple small magnet. Definitely not air tight. At closer look, it was a little disappointing. The wood is fairly low quality with little to no finish. There was some odd residue that became more apparent when I was rinsing the jar for an initial clean with just water. I think this might be due to a sloppy glue job. I was able to scratch and scrub most of it off or what I could see of it. It says dishwasher safe, but not sure I would place this is the dishwasher. Overall I only took off one star due to the low price as it's cheap so the quality makes sense.

This is a nifty little salt cellar to have around the stove for quickly pinching out some salt into a dish. I have been seeing these more and more in cooking shows and videos and it looked like it would be very useful as I hate having to1) shake or twist a jar of salt to season food while cooking because I'm usually busy with a whole host of things2) pouring salt into measuring spoons and wasting the spillageThis box is a nice size. It is small enough to stay out of the way and large enough for even my fat fingers to get into for pinching (albeit tightly). The spoon on the lid is a nice touch but one that I ultimately think I won't use most of the time. I like the movement and the magnetic positioning of the lid but honestly I think I'm going to see about making a lid that I can just lift off. Swiveling it on and off while I'm busy stirring can be a small hassle that just adds another complexity that I don't want.Very nice and I would love this as a gift for a food person.

Overall it is a cute item, helpful in the kitchen closes and opens well. The issue I have is a quality control and lack of customer service. The salt container is not finished well and surface is rough, not smooth. I had bamboo cutting boards before and they became so rough only after a lot of use without conditioning. On top of that matter, while installing the top metal piece they split the wood. I felt it immediately while trying to open it the first time. The splinter jammed into my finger. Sooner or later that piece of wood will fall off. I contacted the customer service several days ago and got no answer. I don't understand why you want to put your name on the container, which is pretty tacky and don't answer to your customers. Oh well, I would say find something else, preferably the solid piece of wood, because there area a lot of toxic glue used in making products from bamboo.
