It's a great lightweight option for making crushed ice. I am a bartender however I don't use this for bartending. I use it for making crush ice at home I'm a crushed ice fanatic and obsessed about it and I have to have crushed ice every night no matter what when I make my nightly margaritas.I've had this bag for over a year or more already and have used it a ton of times. It is a thick canvas material and sold by a well established and reputable supplier.I normally go to a relative's house to fill up gallon size bags with crushed ice once or so a week but when I can't do that I will use this bag to make crushed ice.I've not had any issues with the functionality or the quality of this product. However I did buy the Mallet as well which I believe is recommended with the purchase of this bag.The only quality issue I would note that has not become an issue yet is the bag has two tie strings at the top to tie it closed and overtime one of the ends of the strings is becoming frayed because there is no finish on the tip of those strings to prevent the fraying. So pretty quickly after about 6 months I noticed the fraying beginning to occur and we'll have to put some sort of finish on it myself such as some glue or I don't know what to prevent the fraying from getting worse.Nonetheless as I said this is just the tip of one of the strings and it's not any part of the major functionality of the bag which has proven incredibly reliable and sturdy given that you're pounding the heck out of it and you're putting solid ice cubes from an ice cube tray in it which the ice cubes when pounding them can have very sharp and rough edges that typically would damage any other bag.I love the quality and size of the mallet. It's easy to handle and swing.I live in an apartment and typically will take the bag down to my parking garage and will put a towel down on either side of the bag when I pound the ice just to further protect it from getting any potential damage or dirt on it from the ground.I do notice that this product literally pulverizes ice cubes meaning after pounding an individual Ice Cube a few times it's actually more like a powder or shaved ice snow form of ice. Which I almost prefer more than the crushed ice I would get from my relatives refrigerator that I typically use which doesn't offer a lot of variety on how fine you want your ice to be crushed.This bag obviously offers a little more variety on how fine you want your eyes to be crushed it can be just a little bit or it could be like snow which is totally awesome.I also like the head of the mallet which appears as though it can be removed from the swingarm if needed by sliding it in a reverse Direction and towards where you would place your hand. Not that it matters much because this mallet is solid wood and isn't getting damaged anytime this Century from pounding out ice.And as a bartender, even though I do not take this with me to work, the design of the bag and mallet the writing, whatever minimal writing there is, is very attractive and has a very Sleek look about it. Definitely something I would feel very comfortable taking with me when I go bartend and showing it off a little bit.I can fit two ice cube trays worth of ice Intuit comfortably but that's really sort of the max because you would have to shuffle some of the ice cubes around as you pound it to make sure they all get popped real good. It might be nice to see a little bit of a better locking mechanism on the ties at the top so that they don't come untied while you're handing out ice, however this really has never been an issue for me.If you're a crushed ice officiado or even worse, a crushed ice addict, as I am, unless you already have a solid way of obtaining your crushed ice, is absolute must have.

I got this to put my tiny ice cubes from my icemaker in. Good quality muslin. Ties at the top.
