I ordered the 4 piece 6"x2"x2" turning blanks and I am very happy with the quality purpleheart that was sent to me. I don't use these blocks for turning, I use them as they are so I appreciate that all the cuts are square and of the right dimensions. I will be ordering more wood from them. Oh, and they are unwaxed which is better for me.

Good color, though most pieces exhibit minor cracks on the edges. Nothing terrible, but something to be wary of. All pieces are undersized by about a sixteenth of an inch, width-wise. Color is consistent for all pieces and is a slightly washed out purple, very slightly grayer than the picture. Overall, good for the price.

Got 8 of Purpleheart and 8 of Cherry. Nice and straight, consistent beautiful color. Solid grain. Very happy.

Beautiful wood, made a shadow box for my mother, two handles for my camera rig and working on a guitar neck as well. It is very hard wood so be prepared to put the work in but it polished to such a luster that it looked like it had a gloss coat on it. Highly recommended!
