This is the tool to use for countersink if the smallest hole-through type countersink nose is too big. It has four flutes (on each end); two of them are short, and the other two meet in the middle, so it will drill into a flat surface as well as chamfer a corner. Not to mention both ends are the same so you get two for the price.

Clearly a good tool, but I ended up receiving a 1/4" shank 2 flute single sided tool instead of this one. Just a heads up.
