We bought this for use at the facility were I work. It is great for applying ice-melt products to sidewalks. The thing I like most is that it helps prevent over application. Also, it doesn't seem to consume much power. We haven't had to recharge the 5 Ah battery that we are using yet.

spreading grass seed , Spreading Native Plant seeds. Fertilizer. I like the easy removable battery for charging. So far superior than the Scott Spreader, That I’ve purchased over three units that stop working after a short while of use.

I feel like this is a throwback to the days of "Batteries Not Included", except now with specialized lithium ion batteries instead of the standard AAs that you can buy anywhere.Furthermore, the instructions do not even indicate what kind of battery I need to buy. I know that information is in the product description, but it should also be in the instructions.I can't say anything about the product itself because I can't test it without a battery, but if you're comparing prices then make sure you take this into account.I ordered a Dewalt 20V battery. I'll probably update this review when it arrives.
