Bought for my adult son who plays rec league hockey. He loves it. Says it is very comfortable, doesn't even notice he's wearing it and he likes the protection it gives as he watched a teammate get slashed in the throat in a previous game. Very happy with product.

Bought for my 15yo. He's 6' and proportioned properly and this nearly restricted up and down movement. Stiff and seemed generally uncomfortable. Didn't even make it past first out of the box try on. Talk to actual hockey players and add thinner and better material boys!

I have a large neck and since this is a "sized" item, I expected the adult size to fit me based on other feedback. It does, barely, but it has to be on tight and thus isn't comfortable. So, I won't use it.But, if you're average sized, then it'd probably be nice.

Since it has come to pass as being mandatory, prices on these things are a bit predatory. That being said, it does the trick, not my favorite and the velcro will probably last 2 seasons at most, but more likely one. Price point in comparison is good, but this is a €10 thing sold for double or triple. I'd probably go for a shirt with it, but they are WAY more expensive. 3 stars for value, durability and quality.

Klar ist es für einen langjährigen Eishockeyspieler sehr ungewohnt, etwas um den Hals zu haben. Zuerst war ich skeptisch, da man den Halsschutz beim Probe-Tragen doch deutlich spürt.Nachdem ich nun damit ein paar Mal auf dem Eis war, bin ich aber positiv überrascht. Man gewöhnt sich sehr schnell an den Schutz und merkt ihn schon nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr.Übermäßiges Schwitzen? Nein.Man kann das Produkt übrigens sehr flexibel in der Größe per Klettverschluss verstellen. Auch für meinen dünnen Hals passt es.
