I decided to rate this on Amazon because these things can be hit and miss, and I guess who knows if it'll your cat will respond the same but very truthfully my picky cat loves it more than most toys. I think the person who said cats love these intermittently is accurate too; my cat has some periods where I notice he's suddenly crazy about it again, he treats it with the same vicious claws-out craze that yarn gets, but that's not a constant. Since he eventually voluntarily picks it back up, all that matters to me is that I don't have to persuade him to love it, it's fine that it's one wonderful option to add to the arsenal of toys. I think novelty via rotations is a good idea anyways.Benefits: The stick body can amuse him. The corn husk-y fringe at the ends makes a great noise (my cat loves the sound of paper crinkling). He especially enthusiastically gnaws on a dangling brown bead hanging at the end, and my understanding is it's good for his teeth. They last a long time, like I think I've put out two new ones every 6 months or so? The end fringe just gets a bit thrashed after a while, and fresh ones feel like a treat. They still "work" (although sometimes when they're old the last of the dental bead splits and I spot the remains on the floor no longer attached; that's how it essentially dies in our home, or at least graduates to being considered an old toy).It also doesn't look ugly as decor if it's lying somewhere. It feels and looks like it's made from natural materials to me, which is preferable for what's hanging out in my cat's mouth too. My only downside is I have hardwood floors and these things are pretty loud when they hit the floor since they're dense sticks with basically no softness. It's a solid thwack like something substantial was dropped, so I try to only toss it on rugs.

Well made, good design but you know cats…bought the ages ago and it was totally ignored….last few months I find them in strange places in the house.

I’m leaving 4 stars only because these didn’t keep an interest with my cats. They loved it for about 15 minutes and then they were done. Having said that I still think this is a good cat toy or chew. I think these are safe and if your cats chew on them good for their teeth. I just wish my cats were more interested.

Update: I've had these out on the floor for a couple of months now. Our cats will occasionally lick at that bit of "fruit" but nothing more. If I put out a fresh one they will play with it for about 5 minutes then walk off. My concern is that my cat only licks and tries to chew on that hard thing they identify as fruit. It's only attached by a piece of string and I afraid she'll break the string and choke on that hard raisin looking thing.â€â€--------------These are well made and have several interesting features that should appeal to cats. However, neither my female cat nor my daughter's male cat show any interest in them?
Kinda boring

Bawan chew stick last longer than the others! They use a plastic line to hold the catnip much harder for the cat to chew the string that the others useMy cat had the others chewed through within a week this one's lasted longer plus the catnip is stronger than the others she choose to the other in no time she absolutely loves this thing ðŸˆHad to make sure I save this item

These things are absolutely the funniest toy I’ve ever got my cats! Even my most shy kitty comes out to play with these!! My cats can’t get enough of them!

Only one of my cats plays with this. It is quite durable and keeps her entertained. The long slender design allows her to "capture it," between her legs.
