I bought these to hold string lights on my camper's awning and they worked great. I didn't even know my awning had a slot for these until I was searching on Amazon. They were super easy to put in and then to take out when it came time to roll in the awning. They are constructed well and should hold up for years for our weekend warrior camping use.One note - Our awning has a flap that extends down when the awning is fully extended. For my use I will need to add a secondary attachment between the hooks and the string lights to get them below the flap. With the way these attachments are made I could either use a second item like another hook or simply replace the supplied hook with something longer. This is not a fault of the item, just something to consider if your awning has a flap and you want your lights to display below.

This is for the camper. So I can hang out little lights.. the price was great. And the size is perfect it small enough to hide behind the ball light I bought. Works well!

I loved that they slid into place, and held up our lighting easily and securely..

Purchased to enable us to string LED lights along the top and bottom of our small teardrop when camping. They fit nicely into the rail and slide along to where we need them. I did put just a small bit of Vaseline on each to help. The hooks are easy to attach but this is where for us the design is flawed. The hooks can easily become detached from the plastic because of the hook's opening. During our first use, we had hooks detach from the plastic and lights. Our fix, well we sort of permanently attached the hooks by squeezing the end to the plastic with pliers. For the light end, we squeezed the opening a bit so while we can still put our string lights on, it's more difficult for the light string to detach.

We bought a new to us pop up camper where the awning bag was basically unusable. I saw on a camping page I belong to someone made an awning from a tarp and connected it to their awning track on the popup. I began to research what I could use for our camper. I saw these awning light holders and ordered them hoping they would fit. They were a perfect fit for our awning track! I then cut off the awning bag as the awning itself was still intact. I ordered a grommet kit and placed grommets along the edge of our awning. We placed the awning light holders into the tract and hooked up the S hooks to our awning and viola, we had our awning back! The only two downfalls: 1) The S hooks that came with the holders are really hard to flex and won't bend even with pliers and my husband's strength. I wanted to close one end of the S hooks that is connected directly to the holders so they wouldn't come out. On our first camping trip with our awning, they S hooks did stay in place but we didn't have any significant wind. Hopefully, they will be fine going forward. 2) There is about a 2 inch gap from where the holders attach to the camper and where the awning connects with the S hooks. This gap lets rain in a bit but nothing terrible. Other than that, it worked out great.
