For me this product has been incredibly easy to apply and I’ve noticed a drastic difference in slippage on my tile floors for my almost 18 yr old dog. He’s had a couple incidents recently of splaying on the tile and being unable to get up or out of the position. Well, two incidents that I know of, because I witnessed them, and he was unable to get up until I came to his rescue. Definitely makes me nervous to leave him home alone, which thankfully is rare anyway since my husband works from home. This product works! After applying and drying, he walks normally on our tile floors.if it is hard to rub on during colder temperatures , just take a blow dryer to it for a couple minutes and it softens right up.I’m going to be extra cautious due to his age and double do it by gluing on some rubber toe grips too. They also work but fall off too easily unless they are glued. I bought both the toe grips and the paw grip at the same time and tested them separately. Both work, but the toe grips were $40!I reapply the paw grip each night at bed, and think with glued on toe grips my 18 year dog (come March) will be equipped with everything he needs (pads and nails) to securely walk around.

I bought this to help my senior dog walk on our wood floors, based on the ad description. He has a terrible time sliding all over, and he's only 20 pounds. I tried shaving down his paw fur before applying to his paw pads. It makes the pads a little softer temporarily, but it does not help him grip at all. Would only use this to soften rough paws, but do not use as a gripper. Should have read the reviews before buying, waste of good money.

We got this for our little chihuahua/terrier mix pup. She is unstable on her long hind legs and has a neurological disorder. This did not help much. She did not seem too interest in it, so she didn't lick it which was great. It seemed like the more times we used it, the more she slid on our tile floors. We invested in carpet runners instead.

I have ten-year-old giant breed who wants to sleep on the tile floor instead of his bed this summer in the heat - the floor is cooler, but he struggles getting up. This seems to give him enough extra traction so he doesn't paddle and slide with his front feet. It's super easy to apply - like a big chapstick tube, and he hasn't been interested in licking his feet. It has also softened his pads - they're more supple and feel less rough and calloused. It doesn't have a noticeable smell, and is made of ingredients I wouldn't quibble about using on me. I apply it to his pads when he's stretched out for a nap, and he's completely unconcerned. If he gets up soon after, he does leave a smudge or two, but nothing major and he doesn't slip, which is the main thing. It does need to be reapplied at least daily. I would definitely reorder.

I’m surprised by the number of negative reviews for this product. It has worked well for us. If you apply too much wax or don’t give it time to absorb into paw pad the paw will not have much, if any, grip. I have found more of this product does not equal more grip, quite the opposite. After you apply a moderate amount and it has has had a few minutes to absorb though the result is a layer of grippy wax left on the paw. It takes a few minutes and requires pretty frequent reapplication hence the 4 instead of five star rating but it’s keeping my neuro dog upright on slick floors. No other product from stickers to socks to nail grips has been able to help her. I will continue to buy it.

I bought this excited to try on my small 11 pound miniature pincher. He is afraid of hardwood floors because his paws slip. It is impossible to apply because it is so firm as a stick. I tried rubbing it on my fingers and then putting it on his paws. It’s pretty much just a firm lotion bar. So I’m not sure how it’s supposed to help him not slip. Save your money and give this a skip.

This product is amazing!!! I have a 15+ year old dog that has been slipping on my hard wood floors and falling down and not able to get up and we were desperate to try something to improve her quality of life. This product really works! She is no longer slipping and seems so much happier. My dog even lets me apply it with no fight given she knows it works!!!! I sometimes warm it up with a blow dryer or infant of the heater to soften the wax to help it go on easy give it is a hard wax and can be hard to get it on the first try. I apply it every 1-2 days to ensure it keeps working. Thank you for creating this product! I'm not sure why the other reviews are negative, I'm guessing maybe it didn't go on correctly. We are so happy and grateful we discovered Paw Grip! Thank you Beach & Dog Co

Decided to try it out due to my aging dog slipping on our floors and being unable to get himself up. Looked like a great option, and the easiest to apply compared to the other methods of adding grip to paws. It's a fine moisturizer, but I bought it as a grip...and it doesn't do that. At all. In fact, my dogs paws are even MORE slippery! It's dangerous and I'm legitimately upset. I ended up putting grip-tape on the areas he walks on because this product made his paws so much more slippery. Do not buy this product.
