I bought the thermostat housing assembly also just to be prudent. Solved the issue. Easy to do on my own. I put blue loctite on the threads the night before and let it dry. Sealed and works. 2015 Silverado.

My Silverado's fan was still running after the engine shut off and the temperature gauge was stuck at 160. This was all it needed. This is a great alternative to the OEM part, fits perfectly with no issues. 9 months since the install and still going strong as normal. We'll see how many more years it will last. I also recommend replacing the thermostat while you're at it since these two cheap parts can both be the culprits for a running fan/160 engine temperature glitch, just to get it over with.

Replaced my old one to find out that was not the problem, I will leave this one installed as they are a good brand.

Bought this along with thermostat housing. Changed it out since I drained coolant out already. Works as it should.
