I'm using the exhaust to regulate the pressure for my fish room's central air system. By itself, it's very loud but stuffed with polyfill and wrapped with plumber tape it's only audible if you're standing within a foot of it. With it installed in the air loop, the pressure drops from 3+ (the gauge only goes to 3 psi) to a consistent 1.5.

As others have noted, Milwaukee could have made their battery compressor even quieter with a little more thought. These take it one step further by muffling the pressure release from the solenoid when the compressor shuts off. They do just fine by reducing the hiss quite a bit, but I am still going to add some foam from an egg crate mattress topper to see how much quieter I can get it. As a carpenter, the less noise the better!!
