Ball valves use a spherical disc to control the flow between pipes, tubes, or hoses. Flow is allowed when the hole that pierces the ball-shaped disc is in line with the inlet and outlet of the valve and is blocked when the ball is horizontally swiveled 90 degrees, so that the hole of the ball is perpendicular to the opening of the valve.

Heavy duty fuel shut off/on. Was very surprised how well made this is. Solid weight in your hands and works perfect. Used on a log splitter as fuel shut off/on.

I needed this to add an inline shut off for a drip system. I had to add an adapter to go from 1/8 th to the 1/4 then back again, but that is on me. The barbs seemed a little undersized according to the tubing I was using, but it may be oversized. The handle is also pretty stiff even after using it for a couple weeks.
