My Jacuzzi whirlpool tub circa 1990 had a leaky faucet. It was leaking into the tub and when I removed the access panel I found it had a slow leak under the faucet onto the floor. So I needed to remove the faucet and the soldered H 1/2 inch copper connections to the 2 faucet valves and the spout. I replaced the H with two right angle sharkbite max fittings and these valves, so I could turn off the hot and cold water and not have to do the whole house turn off if I ever needed to service the tub again. These valves look great, mirror finish stainless. They move smoothly and look to be lab quality. Definite step up from the cheaper brass set. The 1/2 inch threads are the lab type strait treads not the slightly cone shaped standard for American 1/2 water threads. They are said to be compatible. I originally used Teflon tape to get a solid match but one of my valves had a slow leak at the threads, so I redid it with Teflon reinforced thread sealant. the thread sealant works perfectly. I replaced the faucet set with one from HOIGY and it works nicely, looks great, updated and the set looks to be of quality. The water lines on the faucet set are 3/8s so the flow rate is a bit slower than the old soldered 1/2 setup. It works fine though just a bit slower. So if you use this with 1/2 standard threads use thread sealant and you'll be very happy and possibly save a day of figuring out a hidden drip like I had. These valves are probably overkill quality for water applications. ...but they look great and operate very well. Enjoy.

I’m a life long gearhead, DIY person, former Cat diesel and auto mechanic. I’ve installed countless valves made from every material you can name.I have never seen a $10 valve that has this level of quality. It looks like industrial art. And it’s 316 SS, not 304. 316 is saltwater proof. It also works perfectly. I read the lower star reviews and the only response I have is to use thicker yellow gas line Teflon tape and not the junk white stuff which is tissue thin. It’s also possible to get a bad valve. Always buy two valves just in case. You have to plan out the valve setup ahead of time and not blame the seller because you don’t know male from female. There’s a joke here but Amazon AI will block my review.I wanted a quick shut off on my MI-T-M shop compressor air line so I didn’t have to spin down the air regulator dials which is annoying. This valve was perfect. I installed it in about 5 minutes. See the photos of the valve and the installation on my Milton air filter/pressure gauge.Got the valve installed, fired up the compressor to max air, sprayed the connections with soapy water. Zero bubbles and an hour later at full pressure, zero bubbles - again. All good. Hope this helps!

I bought these because I was having an issue on my motorhome water heater where I would get water dripping out of the bottom threaded fitting where the drain cap goes on.I needed a way to drain it without constantly taking the drain cap on and off because it was wearing out.So I attached this ball valve onto the bottom and now I can just turn a handle and drain it whenever I want to. This thing is solid and it’s probably gonna outlast all the stuff that it’s attached to. Works perfectly for what I’m using it for.

Very useful to control amount of water you use at the shower. No need of fancy Shower Head.... Put this in place and works perfectly, ON, OFF and gradually if you desire. Easy to act on it.... no efforts, graduation controlled just as you may desire.Material is strong, well made. Bought several of them, some being used now for a long time. No problems whatsoever.

I bought a set of these when having a plumber add pressure gauges to the water line entering our residence. The valves are well-made & designed, smooth-turning, and shut off 60-psi water completely. I wanted a valve below each gauge, so that I could replace a gauge in the future without shutting off anything else. The plumber mounted the gauges, which had a 1/4" NPT Male stem, directly into the valve, as planned. When he had to move a gauge in the course of completing the work, unscrewing the gauge stem caused the insert these valves have on the female side to unscrew from the valve body, i.e., the insert went with the gauge stem, which had been properly, tightly screwed into the valve. Once the insert had been loosened in the valve body, it could not be correctly re-seated on the ball for a working seal. I would not recommend this product if you need to loosen the female-side connection in the future.

Even though Beduan states this ball valve, with its PTFE seal material, is compatible with gasoline, it is not 100% liquid tight for diesel fuel applications (my application is non-pressurized). Should have gone with Parker or USA made...January 30, 2024 EDIT to my original review: I am changing my review of this Beduan Miniature Ball Valve to 5-star instead of my original 2-star because, after about a week of being installed as a drain on a small diesel tank for a diesel heater, the slight seep that I discovered originally is gone. I attribute this to the PTFE swelling slightly (just a guess as I have no other explanation to offer) slightly after it was installed and is now liquid tight. Hopefully it will remain fuel tight for my application.

Used these in a custom hose manifold I was building. Was very impressed with the quality, fit, and finish. Valve operation was smooth, positive and easy. Stainless steel fittings, so you have to treat them accordingly.

These worked perfectly for valving off different shower heads and wands.
