I bought these for the plumbing on my ice plunge tub. As you can see they don't come with an internal silicone gasket. I'm not going to knock off a star for that because some guys have been getting them to work for their applications without it. If you are going to use them for water or just want a better seal, I would suggest ordering silicone gaskets from Amazon for a few bucks. The valves are very high quality, fantastic bright shiny finish, and the threads are perfect.

The 1/4' NPT female threads are machined too small to accept a connection. All of the valves were equally erroneous. Also, the 1/4' thread is just a bushing, which came out when I had to use a wrench to get the stuck piece unthreaded, exposing the valve seat. Do not buy this brand.

These valves are very nice. I was able to connect them to my RV low water drains and the main tank drain in only a few minutes. One improvement would be to make the valve handle key more uniform in shape, like a square rather than an elongated circle, so the handles can be installed so that they are inline with the valve in the normally closed state. Maybe I bought the wrong valves and there are some with that capability? Good sturdy valves for my purpose - just that the valve handles are perpendicular to the line when (normally) closed.

1/4†& 1/2†ball valves are compact, 304 stainless, and inexpensive… BUT… the valve seat SEAL RING (female NPT connection) leaks air like a sieve. **suggested product disclaimer** Not intended for compressed air applications.

So far so good! Quality feels so much better than I was expecting but time will tell how long they last. I use them as a high pressure drain valve for a CIP wash system on my milk truck.
