The ULTRA-DI DI400P is a passive DI (Direct Injection) box for connecting a guitar, bass or keyboard directly to your mixer. With the DI400P as your go-between, impedance-matching problems become a thing of the past, and long cable runs will not sacrifice all of your precious tone.
Directly to the Point
With its parallel 1/4" IN and OUT jacks, the DI400P allows you to plug in your instrument and send the same signal to your onstage amplifier, while the XLR OUTPUT sends a balanced signal to your mixer. A ground lift switch eliminates hum associated with ground loops and our high-performance transformer provides the ultimate in signal integrity.

Absolutely love this box !!! I use this in my home studio anytime I need a high impedance instrument to go direct into the mixer. I've used it with a bunch of electric guitars and the Seymour Duncan in-hole pickup for steel string acoustics. I have not tried it with a pure piezo pickup, like on the NS Wav4 cello.For guitarists :: the IN/OUT allows the recording trick of mixing a clean signal (direct box to the mixer) with the processed signal (mic'ed amp). From alternate tunings to dive bombs to high speed tapping at the 22nd fret, it captures it all without any signal degradation.Very transparent. Simple to use. No futzing about. No anxiety. Plug in, route XLR output to mixer = done. Solid and reliable kit.

It is a working DI box. XLR shell is isolated from the box. The 1/4 jacks are bonded to the box. I only mention this because I have seen it done just the opposite. There is a small locking tab build into the XLR connector. There is some db loss through the box but enough headroom left for any decent mixer to gain up.

Bought these in a pinch. My DIs were destroyed. I didn’t want to spend that kind of money for this acoustic show I was running sound for. Picked these up and they worked great! I see no need for an upgrade. These were quiet and the guitarists were pleased with their tone.

I bought this as a DI backup. I have an L.R. Baggs Para DI that I use most of the time but if it is in use I will need another DI for other instruments. No frills packaging but the unit is well built and works as stated.Pros: Price is great for a well built metal case DI. Lightweight and convenient size, smaller. I like black as well. Works well without noise generation.Cons: The only think I do not care for is that the Balanced side(XLR) jack is plastic and the plug can slip out. It locks but the design is not the best. Just make sure strain relief is exercised and there should be no issues.

Dopo lunga ricerca per risolvere il problema delle impedenze nella connessione audio fra mixer e filodiffusione, ho trovato questo gioiellino, fratello minore di altri prodotti più professionali.Molto intuitivo e facile da usare. L'ho preso proprio perché ha un solo tasto per la messa a terra e per i miei scopi è stato più che sufficiente.Il segnale mi sembra buono e senza perdite di potenza. Nessun disturbo o rumore riscontrati.L'ho acquistato usato, praticamente a metà prezzo. Quindi per quanto ho pagato il rapporto qualità -prezzo è ottimo. A prezzo intero forse è un po' caro.In ogni caso sembra di buona fattura e robustezza.Nel complesso sono finora molto soddisfatto.
