This works on Macs. This works on old Intel Macs. This works on 4K enabled trashcan Macs. This works. Ordered and returned two other mini to HDMI adapters that didn't work on Macs. If this is also you...buy these.

Works like a charm, needed this to mirror my 2017 13" macbook on a Panasonic tv, as the laptop screen broke and repairs would've been too expensive. I just plug the mini display end into the thunderbolt port, and it even mirrors audio into the tv speakers. Highly reccomend!

This work to connect an older MacBook to an HDMI cable. I wanted an extra one to keep in my computer bag for when I was lecturing and needed to connect to a display.Make sure that your computer has the right output jack before you purchase as it seems that they change them every few years.

The adapter itself works perfectly, as expected, and appears much better made than the generic ones. The packaging, on the other hand, led me to think I had received the wrong item. A huge sticker on the front says "Video" (which to me implied no audio) and the text on the back says "1080p" (while a tiny logo on the front says 4k). Bottom line, Belkin engineers did an excellent job, but their graphic designers phoned it in.I use it for work presentations and at home to play PSNow games on the big living room TV. Previously had a generic adapter cable from Amazon that cost around half as much, and just the movement of carrying it around in my laptop bag caused it to stop working. This one seems far more solid, with molded connections and sturdier cable. Much more confident in it, and at the price difference it's well worth the peace of mind. I have other Belkin adapters and tech products that have been working for decades, even when tossed around/stored carelessly in between uses.

I am not a technologically-minded person but I wanted to hook my 6-year-old MacBook Pro to my TV so I could stream workouts to my TV (I don't have any other streaming devices and figured cables like this would be cheaper than trying to figure out a device). I saw this Belkin cable on the Apple site but decided to get it from Amazon (Prime shipping and all that). I did buy directly from Amazon (in February 2016) and not another seller, even though it cost just a little more, and I received what I believe to be a genuine product.There's not much to say about this product. It works as intended. I plugged one end into the Mini Display port on my laptop and the other end into an HDMI cable that went to the TV. I set the source for my TV and fiddled around with the display settings on my computer until I got the picture on the TV screen. I did my workout. It was great! Much nicer to see the images on the big TV screen instead of the little laptop screen.Long story short, the product I got performed as expected. It was easy to set up and get working, even for a non-techie. I am happy with the results.

I don't think this is the 'real' BELKIN adaptor. I bought my sister one from Apple and she swore by it, I decided to buy myself one. Instead of going to the mall I went to amazon. The wire on this one bends a lot more than the Belkin adapter from apple, to get it to work you have to bend and angle the wire or it will not transmit the image. I used it for about 6 months and now I have given up on it. The long cord in the Image is the 'Belkin' from Amazon and the shorter cord the Belkin from Apple.

I have many Belkin products, and this adapter/connector is in line with Belkin’s usual quality. It works, and it is built in a quality fashion, so expect it will remain functional for a long time. Although a little more expensive than other options, you always know what you’re going to get with a Belkin product. Pay once - and have something that is going to work for a long time. To me, the slightly “premium†price is worth it.
