I looked at many screw in fans to divert cooking smoke from my smoke detector and this was a wonderful solution. With the adapter it screwed right into one of my recessed lighting openings. With the remote you can change the fan speed, the lighting density and even change light colors! Great purchase. Love it!

I live in a 60+ year old ranch style home and we have struggled for years with how to equally distribute the air conditioning throughout the house because the furnace and air conditioner are both located on one end of the house. Originally the thermostat was on a living room wall directly across from a doorway into the kitchen so running the oven often would trip the thermostat into thinking we needed more air conditioning or more heat when we didn't, so we moved the thermostat into the hallway closer to the bedrooms, but that has not solved the issues. We saw this fan at a local home improvement store for $20 more than Amazon wanted for it but my husband was intrigued with it so I ordered one and we then purchased an adapter from Amazon so it would work with our hallway ceiling light that has two sockets that are sideways and it has worked beautifully to blow onto the thermostat so it does not try to freeze us to death if the hallway gets too warm from the bathroom and heat from showers, etc. So far we have noticed the air conditioner is running a bit less and we are hoping out next electric bill will reflect a difference. The fan runs very quietly and the light is amazingly bright, more so than two bulbs in the original ceiling light. It is not the most attractive looking set up but we rarely entertain and have no concerns with how it appears if it makes a difference in our monthly bills.

I ordered this item to use in our walk-in closet, which is about 100 square feet of space that has no A/C supply vent. To keep the cat out of the closet, the door is closed most of the time. So when it's time to enter the closet, it can be very warm during the summer months.This fan/light is perfect for the space and extremely easy to install. Just removed the globe from the ceiling fixture, removed the bulb and then screwed this unit into the socket. Done.The remote is well labeled and easy to use, although we'll use it only to change the fan speed as we will only use the white light. Speaking of the white light, it has 3 brightness settings and the high setting is very bright; so much brighter than the 60 watt bulb that it replaced. No more guessing whether the slacks are dark navy or black. I did run the light through each color and they all work fine.The fan has 3 speeds and for this space, the low speed will suffice most of the time. It's not as quiet as a typical ceiling fan, but it's not annoyingly loud either. I like that the blades are behind a grill.We have been using the wall switch that controls the socket in which this unit is installed and I found that it always turns on with the light and the fan on high, regardless of the settings when it was switched off. I suppose this means that the power switch overrides the remote, or loss of power resets the unit.(?)Overall I am pleased with this purchase and have no problem recommending it. If anything should change my opinion I'll return and update this review.

I like it a lot except that the remote control does not work very well. I took out the battery and checked it and the power was high but the buttons do not work very well. Sometimes they do and sometimes not.

Seams like it is perfect for my tiny kitchen. Very bright light with options to change. The fan is small and strong enough.I recommend it.

Overall i love this fan/light. The fan was adequate and the light was amazing. The issues you see in other reviews about the remote not being responsive has to do with the placement of the sensor. Which is positioned above the fan blades. If the blade stops directly over the sensor you'll have some trouble with the remote.Purchased mine just over 8 months ago and it died today. Haven't had a chance to do an autopsy on it to see what failed. I might go ahead and spend the time to replace whatever component burned out on it. Not willing to spend another $30 on a light that won't last at least a year.Only other issue i found is it has no way to remember the setting you left it on. If this is connected to a socket on a light switch. As soon as you flip the switch the light and fan come on full blast. Then you have to grab the remote to shut off the fan and adjust the light.

The fan/light combination works quite well, however, the lights in my house are two-plugs. Meaning every light fixture in my house has to have two light bulbs so this product does not work for me. Butรขโฌโif you have one socket lights, I would buy in a heartbeat because the fan is strong, the lights are bright and you can change the settings to other colors if you wish. It has a remote! I love the ease of the remote and like to change the colors.

I loved all the functions. I put it in a child lost bedroom that didnรขโฌโขt have enough light. Each level of brightness worked great. Nice variety of colors to change. I like the first one so much. I bought a second. Great price for product

Finally just got it installed , works great in kitchen, plenty bright enough , the fan moves a lot of air and surprisingly quiet , speeds on fan just great , dimmer lights good for night time use , I just love it , every body should have one . No need for the huge dust collector that towers over your kitchen , just unthread it from the socket and clean it . Why didnรขโฌโขt I think of that ? Strongly recommend it

La intensidad de la luz es muy buena mejor q la del modelo con aspas es de buen material muy fรยกcil de manejar con su control y de instalar tmbn lo unico es q el flujo de aire si es inferior a modelo con aspas, si ventea pero muy poco es un flojo q tienes q estar debajo de el literalmente para q te ventie en eso si el de aspas es mejor ventea mรยกs fuerte y cubre mรยกs รยกrea lo digo por q tengo los 2 modelos, mรยกs ocupaba era mรยกs iluminaciรยณn q ventilador y por eso compre estos modelos y son mรยกs baratos q los de aspas mรยกs en general es un nuy buen producto, ya es tu necesidad la q decide si prefieres el modelo con aspas o este. P.D: despuรยฉs compre otro mรยกs no me ha funcionado como el primero este no le funciona su memoria entonces cada q se prende del switch de la pared se enciende tanto la luz como el ventilador en alto lo cual es molesto por me toca apagar el ventilador de el control siempre y la verdad con este clima no ocupo el ventilador mรยกs sin embargo es muy buen producto creo que es defecto de fabrica por q he leรยญdo varios comentarios con este problema, aver si doy con uno q funcione bien

What an amazing idea! It takes a plain light socket to a multi purpose wonder!!! Fan with different speeds, multiple brightness of light, multiple colors of lighting, with a remote. It makes a small space that cannot have a big ceiling fan to a space with air flow and various lighting. Keeping the area fresh with air flow.
