It took just minutes to install these shields. The shields are thick plastic and should hold up fairly well. My only complaint is that to tighten up the shields to keep them stable you have to tighten up the mounting screw, which makes sense, but due to spacing of the shield connectors tightening just a bit too tight will break the plastic hinge. Doable, but still a pain.

The metal brackets did not fit my grinder. But it wasn't a big deal as I was able take the new eye shields and use my existing brackets.

Cheap, not in the inexpensive way. To keep the shield in place you tighten a screw to put force on the shield, shield is not strong. Should have a spring or two, otherwise on turn a centimeter too far and you’ll snap the shield. I didn’t even put it on. Put it directly in the trash after getting it

Have a 30 yr old grinder but shields were scratched and hazy. These went on old design and safety in place too? That's a good day

As it is a somewhat generic product they did not fit my bench grinder out the box. Fortunately I did not need to use the provided mount but by filing a small amount off the width of the plastic eye shield it fitted perfectly into the existing mounting. This was easier than fitting the mounting provided (which was an option and could have been done)

I bought two sets of these guards. They didn't even come in a cardboard box, just a little bubble wrap envelope. One set was fine, the other set had one broken one (probably from the cheap packaging). They are super light duty even compared to the light duty ones that come stock on most cheap bench grinders and the mounts look like they're made out of old pop cans. Would not buy again.
