- The Benfei VGA to HDMI Adapter provides a cost-effective and easy solution for connecting a desktop, laptop, or other legacy computer with VGA port to a HDMI display such as monitor, projector or TV.
HD Video Resolution and Audio Support

Digital USB Audio
- The audio signal is embedded with hdmi video
- Connect the USB cable to the source computer usb port
- Select the USB audio on the playback tab of the sound menu in Windows
- Select the input audio from HDMI Display menu

Note: This adpater is used to connect the VGA source to the HDMI Display, it could not work in the opposite direction. For the HDMI source to VGA Monitor solution, please see the table in the following.

Note: When the OS is not Windows, no audio output. For all the OS, please ensure the USB is connected with external power supply. The VGA source could not supply enough power for the Chipset, so the external power supply from USB is required.

How to USE
- Connect the VGA cord to VGA Source
- Connect the USB cord to the external power supply or USB 3.0 slot in the video source

I had a different brand fail after about a years use (screen started slowly flickering on and off). This unit is a much more professional build, look and feel, and is currently working perfectly. I am using it on an "INTEL BLKD945GCLF MITX W/ATOM 1.6GHZ CPU" PC that is 15 years old and has on board video, vga only output. I run the video (and keyboard and mouse) to a four PC KVM switch.I'm not sure it matters, but I powered down the PC, plugged in the USB, then the video (witch goes through the switch), and then started the PC.Screen resolution is as good as the VGA output can deliver, no degradation.

I used this on my tv got full screen but no sound. I used one from ebay got sound but smaler picture. I use the amazon right now. By one from amazon that has sound jack on it.

Because of stuff I do, I have a DOS computer, a Windows XP computer and a Windows 7 Pro computer. These three computers have VGA ports only, while my extension monitors only have HDMI or DisplayPort. This adapter work perfectly the first time out on all three with my old computers, including the DOS computer!

My 2017 element 32" tv died. New tv's no vga. ??? I got one of these in 2021 for ??? Can not find it. And now I just got this second one to go to any new HDMI large tv display and it works. Must use usb for power. Laptop has VGA and DMI so saved for tiny displays to 32 plus tvs. 1280 x 768 great 1280 x 800 tv no ?? Display good but top line missing.

1080p x 60 hz right oob no problem. Solved being able to use a hdmi monitor with an old vga only computer.

En äldre dator utan HDMI uttag kunde jag nu koppla in en extern skärm som bara hade HDMI ingång utan problem. Har fungerat helt utan problem i flera veckor.
