I have been using this piano light for over one month now, and I use it almost daily when I practice piano. You can choose from different shades and brightness. The body of the light is heavy, so it sits sturdily on the piano. Although this light is designed for upright pianos, it works perfectly fine with my grand. You just need to keep the lid closed when using. The design is sleek and modern. One cool feature is that it detects when I am in front of the piano and turns on on its own! I would highly recommend this because it's definitely a good long term investment!

We have been using benq reading light for a while, they are a little pricy but I think they are worth it. This piano light is steady and provide auto on and off feature that we need. It has similar features and light range as the e-reading lights, highly recommend if you have a piano player at home.

I just received my BenQ piano light. It was exceptionally well packaged. (Probably the best product packaging I have ever seen!). The light has a nice heavy base which makes the whole unit very stable. The variable lighting feature allows you to dial in ether cool or warm lighting. I initially did not think much of that feature before ordering. However, now that I have used it, I really like this capability. I also really like how the light automatically adjusts to the light intensity in the room. The auto presence (on & off feature is also pretty slick. I was initially hesitant to invest and pay this much for a new piano light. However, now that I have used this BenQ light, I would buy it again without a moments hesitation. I would highly recommend if you are considering buying one.

I had been hesitating buying this mostly due to the high price compared to other piano lamps. I finally decided to give it a try especially because everyone owing it recommended it. To my surprise, it came in a brand new package even though I bought used like-new condition at a discounted price. It packed super well, and the quality seems to be very high. So far no regret after using it for two days. Will come back to re-review if there are any issues.

Update #2: We have had this about 15 months now and we still love this piano lamp. I enjoy the bonus feature when I walk into our living room, the light detects me/us and turns on automatically.UPDATE: Replacement still no instructions in English. I found video with everything I needed to know here. I’d strongly recommend Manufacture to provide instructions in English, would have saved me and others a lot of wasted time, not to mention Amazon sending a replacement only to learn there are no English instructions.———-We just set the piano light up tonight. Only complaint, ALL instructions are in Chinese. We have no idea what button does what or options within each button. Usually instructions will be in Chinese & English but not ours. I called customer service and they will replace lamp with English instructions. Seems odd that a shipment to USA wouldn’t automatically be in English. They offered to have manufacturer email me instructions but my printer isn’t working so that won’t work. I love the heavy weight the lamp is, I don’t need to worry it will topple over and damage the piano or hurt the person playing. It lights up the entire keyboard and music sheets will be easy to read. We don’t know what the long black piece is for (no English instructions) so we’ve left off for now. We also wonder why the plug in came as an adapter to a 110 plug (provided) vs just a 110 plug? Maybe instructions will help us with that too. I would recommend this based on the light itself, only wish we knew how to use the options right off the bat.

I spent a lot of time researching piano lights and finally ended up purchasing this one. It seemed expensive to me at the time, but it is worth the money. The light is well designed so the entire piano keyboard is clearly visible, but at the same time, the light doesn't shine into your eyes. It's an elegant design and very stable on top of the piano. Buy once, cry once...

Other than the price this piano light rates a 10. Definitely better than the cheaper versions and all the expensive piano lights I examined. Likely any piano light would work, but some are just distracting or the lighting is uneven and harsh. Light quality takes precedence over even the well thought out design. Very even non-glare lighting. The auto on feature is nice as is the adjustable light warmth color. If you are looking for the best this is it.

It is a nice piano light but way OVERPRICED. It suddenly stopped working without any sign after we have used it for like one and half years. My daughter practices piano 30mins everyday on average, excluding the daytime when no need to use the piano light, and summer and winter holidays we out for vacations. We estimate the lifetime of this expensive piano light (over $250) is about 200hrs only, which is far less than a $20 cheap table light. The warranty is only for ONE YEAR so we did not get any help from the company at all. With the help of other reviews of this product, we figured out the failure was possibly caused by the unreliable power adapter. So my husband changed the adapter and fixed the problem on our own. Anyway, I would NOT recommend this product at all. It's not worth the price. We have various BenQ electrical products. This is definitely the worst one.

Used for my Yamaha U1 TransAcoustic upright piano.About 2.5x more expensive than the closet equivalent on Amazon (Cdn$365 + tax vs Cdn$160+ tax) but I decided to go with the Benq E because it had no valid negative reviews except the high price. I liked the extra safety feature of the rectangular section cut out of the base to allow for the piano hinge in the piano’s top lid. The only 2 negative review I remember for the Benq E that I remember was 1 person saying “not bright enough.â€I refute that. This light is plenty bright for my tired 68 year old eyes. Maybe they have cataracts or Glaucoma? 1 reviewer said “the light was bright enough but casts shadow on part of the black keys closest to the strings.†I reviewed their photos /videos & it’s apparent that the music stand was well above the top lid of her piano: (This light is designed for standard upright pianos where the music stand is just above the keys. It works perfectly for that.) The only other negative review I read said the arms of the Benq E were a little short, causing shadows & not enough light on the music & keys. From her photos it is apparent her digital piano is not a standard upright & the music stand is on the top lid of the piano.MY REVIEW SUMMARY:Works & looks great.Fully lights my music & keyboard.Appears to be very well made.Arrived by the date & time stipulated & the package couldn’t be delivered until I provided the one-time code that Amazon provided me a few hours before delivery. I.e. No worry of the delivery driver leaving the parcel outside my apartment building or in the Lobby if my apartment.Packaging: Like Fort Knox. It’s packaged in solid packing foam & 2 BenQ boxes.Expensive but will be worth it & I doubt I will be 2nd guessing my decision a from years from now. As they say, “ You get what you pay for†& I think I purchased the best available light available for me & my YAMAHA UPRIGHT piano & the living room I play it in.Note: I’ve only used this piano light twice & have yet to check out the auto on /off features or auto brightness / dimming but expect those features will work as described in the features specs.

No doubt a great piano light, but as they don't bother to tell you that it has a USA Type A plug I won't know for sure until I've bought a UK to USA adaptor so I can plug the damn thing in. At least the transformer included takes 100 - 240V. All the same, a bit rubbish that Amazon don't tell you about the plug. Hopefully I'll be able to post a five star review once I can actually plug the thing in...

Very good product. My son and I love it. It’s easy to use. I like to use the auto, the light is comfortable and the light can cover 88 keys. But it’s a little bit expensive. The auto turn on/off it’s not useful.

The brightness is adjustable. Even though the price is a little bit expensive than expected, it’s a good choice to have it. It’s not light weighted, but I think it’s a good weight to put on the piano.

The light is on all 88 keys evenly, and it is not too bright or dark. I was a little surprised by the price at the beginning, but after using it a week, all I can say is it totally worth the price.
