Not a conventional braid and not a mono - Thermally Fused FireLine changed fishing forever. Now we are re-launching the Next Generation of FireLine. Smoother and tougher than ever with the same powerful strength, smooth handling and fast-casting you know and love.

This is the only line I’ll spool my spinning reels with. It comes off the spool when casting like a dream and it has never left a bird nest, casting knot, nothing.

I've been using Berkley FireLine almost exclusively for over 20 years. It love the sensitivity you get from the lack of stretch. It is super low friction, so it slides through the guides really well. I think I'm be able to throw my lures a little further using FireLine vs. a monofilament. It will get a little fuzzy with use, but this does not seem to effect the breaking strength. It's super thin for it's strength, so you can put a lot on your reel. I use it on my largemouth set ups (10lb) as well as my striper poles(14lb). My son is running it on is 5' 6" light weight rod too(8lb). I'll buy more when we need it.

Best main line for spinning reels. Especially for the Pflueger Brand reels, match made in heaven. Used in 4lb on UltraLight and 8lb on Drop Shot with fluoro leader. I can winch them in on the 4lb lol.Update: I started using the 6lb version of this lineOn BFS Reels and you can launch 1/16 oz lures like neds no problem. Great line for the application I recommend 4lb or 6lb for BFS i use the flame green.

Looks like white floss, yes (8lb is actually much thinner than floss), but it's MUCH stronger. This easily added another 20+ yards to my casts on my ultralight setup. There's very little memory from the spool and i haven't experienced any wind knots since swapping over from the mono I had on there. While I wouldn't say it disappears in water, this stuff is thin enough to blend in pretty well. It's also very light and floats if your lure is light enough. Great braid!

Great fishing line. I fish for trout in rivers and use 8 lbs test. Most 8-20 inch trout I don't have to worry about fighting too much. The 21-26 inch trout though do put up a big fight (especially when using the current) and the line holds up great for the 5-15 min fight. Definitely recommend this line to those looking for a sturdy line that holds well!
