I purchased these a couple years ago for a homemade swing-set that has since withstood daily use from a now 115 pound child who's a swing daredevil. They've held up beautifully. Very durable and more robust than anything I could possibly find on the local market. I didn't use the supplied screws and instead opted for lengths of threaded rod all the way through the timber, capped off by washer and nuts on both sides, the nuts then metal epoxied in, and coated with galvanization spray. These are commercial playground quality, the kind you'd see at park playgrounds. Recommended, especially if your kids are swing fanatics.

We bought a house that had a porch swing held in by two lag eye screws into a 2 by 8 rafter. It did not seem very safe or sturdy. I got these swing hangars for peace of mind. They are very sturdy and I don't worry about them failing as I did with the lag screws.Installation was easy. They even come with two adhesive template stickers to mark the drill holes. They were spot on. My only complaint is they are 2 inches wide so they stick out farther than the 2x8 by 1/4" on each side. Not a big deal but I would have preferred a 1.5" base so it would line up perfectly.

These are great swing mounts: easy to install and whatnot. I am a bit disappointed that they have just begun squeaking while my 35lb son swings on them. I will probably spray some lubricant on them as a diy fix.This is not a deal breaker, but something people should be aware of before committing to a purchase.

Well, so far so good. We haven't had it long, but we did put it to the test many times and I have hope and confidence that it will work out.Teenage son has autism, so he uses a hammock swing in his room all day every day for stimulation and comfort. He's had the swing for a few years. We hang it to the ceiling through the sheetrock into the wood beams. We need it to be heavy duty and safe because sometimes he needs to feel like he is going faster. Keep in mind he is an active and fit teenager with not just autism but AD/HD. The hardware that initially came with the swing did not do so well so we scratched that. We tried several things and never worked out. They would either snap in a certain area of the hanger or the bolts would loosen and either snap off or come off completely causing my son to fall over. NOT SAFE. None were sturdy and thick enough. So, now we have his swing on chains and with these swing hangers. Just like the ones used outside.Husband has tightened it. Adjusted it just right. Took the right measurements and the set-up and installation were very easy. Came with all it's hardware as well. We tested it.... husband swung on it. He also hung directly from the chains and swung. He pulled down on the chains giving it several good strong jerks. He went up into the attic and checked and the nuts and bolts remained intact. No loosening. No issues. We've gone on to do this a few times every day to be sure. Son is swinging like a champ, and he loves it. He feels more secure this time. He even loves the green color.The price is worth it especially for the quality of this product. Definitely happy with this purchase.
