We are SO in love with Betta! My elderly parents (80s and 90s) were really struggling with keeping their pool clean to the point where they were threatening to fill it in! Couldn't let that happen!I was concerned that this little guy sounded too good to be true but it's not only lived up to, it's exceeded expectations.The unit is basically set it and forget it (which was super important for us). Basically turn it on, set it in the pool, and let it go. You don't have to remember to charge it, or set it, or turn it on... the solar battery lasts long enough (sunny southern Calfornia summer, mind you) so that it runs all day long and all night long without any problems. It is SUPER quiet, lightweight, and unobtrusive... just lazily swims around picking up all little debris, keeping the pool cleaner than I ever remember seeing it!The filter/mesh is also really easy to clean out... just unclasp the top lid, lift it up by the handle, and rinse it off. It's quite fine too, finer than a normal manual skimmer, so picks up quite small leaves right along with the bigger ones.Note: there is no vacuum or suction function on this thing, which for some reason I was expecting... It basically has a little "windmill" like wheel in front of the skimmer basket that pushes leaves and debris into the basket as it makes its way around the pool.My anti-techy anti-spendy parents have commented several times "OMG, I wish we'd had this years and years ago!" and how much easier their pool maintaining lives are now. If that's not the most positive review, I don't know what is! :)

So I have a smaller inground pool in swfl. We get lots of rain and that makes the built in skimmer not work as well. I don’t always have the time to drain the pool so as you can imagine it ends up needing skimmed more often. I came across this product and its raving reviews and thought it sounded like it would help me out. Saw the price and was a bit put off but decided to give it a try and I’m happy to say it was well worth it.I’ve been using this a month now. It absolutely is a time saver and cleans up extremely well. I don’t get much in ways of leaves but being in Florida it’s the bugs that need skimmed out especially gnats. I’m happy to report it annihilates even the smallest gnat type bugs.I charged it once when I received it and since then it’s been happily running on solar. Even on cloudy days it seems to get enough juice. I even see it working in the middle of the night so it definitely holds a charge well. I basically leave it in all the time and rinse out the basket twice a week. I never had it get stuck anywhere. The worst thing that happened was a snake getting on it to take a ride but that’s a nature problem not a product one haha.Five stars!

I have had my Betta SE Plus - Solar Powered Robotic Pool Skimmer for almost 1 pool season now. My pool is surrounded by trees and I got tired of skimming pool 2-3 times per day. Since I have been using the skimmer, that we have affectionatley named "Enterprise" as it looks space like I have not manually skimmed my pool. I absolutely LOVE LOVE this guy!I hesitated buying it because I also have a Polaris vacuum robot and was worried about it getting tangled with the polaris hose. I tried several types of weights for the polaris hose to keep it below the surface, however I could not find the right weight to keep the hose below surface & not sink totally. I had read another customer review of this product where someone was able to get a hose weight to accomplish this, so maybe it could be done.I have used the skimmer and the Polaris at the same time, and most of the time they do not run in the same path to get caught, but it does happen. If you do not mind watching to see if they hang up and separate them now & then this method could work.I prefer not to have to watch out for a hang up...So what I do now is run "Enterprise" in am before the Polaris runs, stop it when the polaris is going and then turn it back on after the Polaris is done. This works out fabulously.Enterprise aka Betta Robotic skimmer is solar powered and will run the full day and on occasion I have forgot to shut it off at night and it has run through out the night as well...then recharges with the sun the next day. I would not recommend running it 24 hours straight routinely as I am sure this would be too much for the motor.It skims real well.... I have not seen it miss or leave debris behind it has motored over. We have a Golden retriever who likes to swim in the pool and the skimmer picks up his hair as well! So far it is running well, with no signs of wear & tear!I highly recommend this product!

I haven't used the Skimmer yet, as it came with the wrong plug for Australian power points! Because it came with a specialised / proprietary plug on the other end, I can't just buy a replacement from an electronics shop.

I received my robot yesterday and so I read the instructions and placed the robot in the poolIt worked perfectlyButThe plug pack that was provided is a us plug and the connection to the robot is a very specific 3 point connection so I can’t just buy a new Australian plug packI have to buy a converter which is not idealIf you know you are dispatching the unit to Australia surely it would be smart to provide the buyer with the correct plug typeGreat product but be aware that if you are buying for Australia you will receive the wrong plug type

Bought this Surface Pool Cleaner over 4 weeks ago and it has worked perfectly!We have lots of trees and bushes near our pool and I used to clean the surface two to three times a day.That's a thing of the past!Simply love this cleaner!You won't regret buying this cleaner!Now you can really enjoy your pool.

It’s been in the pool for over a week, runs day and night, can’t fault the battery, not yet anyway. The ability to collect leaves is lacking, they often get pushed to the side or bob along in front until the device changes direction. Sometimes when it reverses the leaves float right back out!!I want to love this and I think so far its ability to keep going without a need to plug in is fantastic. I think a lot of work is needed on the ability to catch leaves I’m 100% confident this could be improved.
