I really feel that I had to make this revue , I must say that this pool cleaner is unbelievable, it does everything that is claimed in the description, I was skeptical because of some of the bad revues but I was so tired of dragging out the hoses to clean my pool every weekend that I went ahead spent the money. This machine is incredible , I watched it the first time I placed it in the pool and could not believe the intelligent pattern that it ran while not missing a single spot, now I must let you know that I have a rectangular pool with sharp corners , nothing is rounded and I think that the scanning it does works well with this shape pool, very basic , could not get over how it moved across the pool in a slightly overlapping pattern similar to one cutting grass, went up the walls and scrubbed the edges of the pool as well as the steps and deep side swim out, it even backs up and rotates it is amazing ,the pool is immaculate, and when I pulled the filter basket out I could not get over how much trash was in it, very fine sand and small algae and bugs. This DOLPHIN Advantage Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner has set me free from weekend pool cleaning....I love itI live in south Florida and cleaning a pool in the summer is no fun, and no mater how many times I go over the pool bottom I can't get it as clean as this robot, its the scrubbing action and tremendous suction power that actually swills the water upward from the powerful vacuum..... all I know is that on my rectangular pool it works great!!!!!

This is my first experience with a self contained robot pool cleaner. I previously owned a Hayward automatic pool cleaner and since I don't have a dedicated cleaner connection I had to connect through my skimmer with the hose. Once that broke I just switched to a manual vacuum. Cleaning a pool is a pain in the ass. Brush the walls, fill the hose with water, pop the top of the skimmer, remove the basket, connect the hose to the skimmer and the vacuum, adjust the valves for maximum suction, go to work and then reverse the process at the end. This method also increases the filter maintenance since everything you suck up ends up in the filter.I considered buying another cleaner that attaches to the skimmer with a hose and the one I settled on was listed at $489. This Dolphin robot cleaner was listed at $599. So for a bit more than an extra $100 I got a cleaner that I just drop in the pool, connect to the power supply and push a button. It runs for a couple hours and then shuts off. I pull it out of the pool, rinse out the filter basket, rinse the cleaner, unplug it from the power supply and put it away. That's it. No extra stress on my filter or pool pump. No emptying the vacuum hose and storing it. No messing with the skimmer. I can run it when the pump is off. It climbs the walls up to the waterline and it has a rotating brush on the front that scrubs the walls and the floor. My pool is immaculate. It doesn't have a phone app, it doesn't map the pool, it doesn't have the extra feature that keeps the cord from getting twisted. I don't care. The first time I used it it missed a couple spots so I ran it again the next day and it cleaned the missed spots. I ran it again on the third day just because it's so easy to use. The cord got loosely twisted each time but since I remove it after each use it's no problem to untwist it when I put it away. I don't watch it, after a couple hours I look out the door and see it's not moving anymore so I know it's done and I pull it out. Even without the extra features this cleaner is fantastic. It might be nice to have dual rotating brushes but it cleans so well without that feature I doubt I would pay more to have it. As long as it doesn't break in the next few years I'll be happy. From what I've read Dolphin makes the best pool cleaners which is why I picked this one. So far so good.

This thing is absolutely awesome. This is my first robot vac, so I can’t compare it to the many other units available, but for us it’s been a game-changer. It seems as though (after about a month of use) it’s learned our pool, and cleans better than ever now. It was great out of the box, but now it even gets the steps and ledges. Great at climbing the sides and getting above the water line as well. Put it in the pool, press one button, and walk away. When you come back, you’re pool is clean. I obviously can’t speak to the durability/longevity yet, but I will definitely update if there’s an issue. I take it out of the pool when it’s done cleaning because I don’t like the idea of it sitting in chlorinated water all season. It may be fine that way, but I’m erring on the side of caution and babying it due to the price! I’m a healthy, strong adult, so pulling it out of the water is not an issue for me whatsoever. It feels like about 30-40 lbs when you first pull it up, but the water drains out quickly and it lightens up in no time. If you are elderly or weak, that may be an issue for you, but most adults shouldn’t have much trouble. I did a lot of research before buying this model and I’m not disappointed, but I’ll just say that if you’ve never tried a robot vac, get one! This one, or any one is better than vacuuming manually into your skimmer/filter system all the time! I may get through the entire year without having to backwash…

It is headache.I found it won't go and its cogwheel is broken.See the picture and find how thin it is.It is not sturdy at all.Even I can not find where I can buy the replacement.Do I have to throw the robot away because of only one part??Please let me know how I can find one.
