This swab is well constructed and designed to get the moisture out of my alto sax very well. I like it a lot. Does the job.

This is the best saxophone swab I have found in 30 years! Many swabs are the handkerchief type shadow, silk or microfiber. This one is designed to keep a round shape that swabs the inside by keeping the edges against the inside of the horn. Great swab for cleaning the horn!

This swab got STUCK during the first use on my vintage alto sax. I hope I did not damage my valuable sax. I also ordered the one for the neck and did not dare try it. Returning.

The swab works but the cord isn't heavy enough. Yeah, there's a weight at the end, but if the cord were heavier/denser, the cord would pass through the instrument much easier. The swab is heavy enough to keep the cord from entering the bell easily. Also the cord is longer than it needs to be for an alto saxophone.

This dries out my bass clarinet much better than the Yamaha oboe swab that was supplied with it. I definitely recommend getting one of these.

Great swab, very effective in getting the saxophone interior dry. May get stuck in the bore near the tenon - to prevent that, before swabbing, pull back on the center of the side that shows the big BG label and simultaneously pull forward using the attached line. That will shape the swab like a bicone which will be narrow enough to not get stuck.
