bought to replace a much more expensive unit that broke. works as described. configuration was easy and performance has been rock solid. no issues after 6 months. highly recommended if using to run light shows with ethernet -dmx. will buy again if just to have a standby or create another universe. priced right!

Wanted to get the lighting control (running Luminair Pro) at the small non-profit venue I do tech consulting for moved from a fixed location to being able to be controlled from a tablet. This Pknight ArtNet controller did the job beautifully at a very reasonable price (non-profit = "Budget? What budget?". It was very much a plug-and-play experience, and it's been working like a champ.

Got one of these to test because my school had one; nice little unit that appears to do all the right things. Configuration is easy once you understand you have to hold the "return" for 3 seconds to make a setting stick. Using Micro-USB is nice as you can put a recharging block inline to add power redundancy. Screen and lighting is nice and does all the right things. I'd have given it 5 stars if it had a web-server based configuration; the RDM config for the name is nice .. but the only tool that works is Windows based, and we're a Mac Shop so I had to setup to use that. Also this only works in a single subnet .. it does not allow for a defined router if you have multiple subnets.

I set mine up with an inexpensive Donner wireless and the cheapest WiFi router Walmart had, and this little rig works great. The adapter worked right out of the box, first time. Very simple. Running the free Photon app on an iPad but there’s plenty of free apps to choose from.

Needed a few of these to use with QLC+ lighting software and some DMX light fixtures. THey work exactly as I'd hoped! Each one of these units can convert an entire universe of DMX to ArtNet, or vice versa, and they run solid! Configuration is a breeze on the LCD, I couldn't be happier!

Using this for a small setup on a single universe. All I had to do was configure the IP address and Artnet>DMX direction and I was up and running with QLC+. This is a no brainer and glad I took this path instead of choosing a USB-DMX adapter.

This product is very similar to Enttec ArtNet to DMX boxes (and others), but adds the convenience of a button based setup with a little OLED screen to see the key values you are setting. This is great for small setups (which is all you can do with 1 universe), however I can see where other reviewers are coming from when they wish there was a web based setup available for any type of client device. The Pknight boxes can only be configured remotely by a free Windows only software tool called DMX Workshop.Once configured, the box works well, and is a great option for the free QLC+ lighting control software, so if you are on a low budget, this might be just the device you are looking for. Pro Tip: You should take a HARD PASS on those USB to DMX adapters... total junk... mostly because you can't get a decent frame rate out of them, as all the cheap ones are based on the same chip and the same design. The firmware version on my unit is 2.5, and it DOES save the ArtNet Universe number, as well as all the other configurable settings through a power cycle (just make sure to hold the return button for 3 seconds after making a change)... some reviews complain about this, perhaps there is an earlier FW version with problems saving some values. There is one hardware bug that you should know about with this box... they FORGOT to add the resistors that allow USB PD (Power Delivery) chargers / power supplies identify "dumb" devices, and output 5v. This means that you can NOT connect the Pknight box to a PD style charger / adapter via a USB-C to USB-C cable. You MUST use a USB-C to USB type A cable in order to power it up. I find this inexcusable in an otherwise well built product. Whether this matters to you or not will depend on how you plan to use it. My racks are all powered by multi-port PD, so this means I have to add a dedicated supply just for this box.Other than that, I don't have any reservations about the product. However, for making a high school level design error on the circuit board, I'm docking them 2 stars.

It always disconects from my onyx console after power cycle. Never had that problem before but I am usually using their own NX nodes. Its a nightmare to reconect...

I'm using this via wireless repeater to connect a DMX controller to my wireless network during live shows. One I'd read up about Artnet needing a subset mask of 255.0.0.0 this connects senselessly into my network. Configuration is super easy. All the instructions are linked to a QR code in the documentation, and you can use The Artistic Licence software which is free.I may even buy a second one as currently I'm using an Air2DMX receiver. This means I have to fix the wireless channel on my router. It's much cheaper combined with a WiFi repeater than the air2dmx.Robust metal box, easy to setup and works well. I'm asuming other reviewers who have had problems haven't set up their network properly to pass artnet UDP signals.
